On the QB issue:

Best case scenarios ranked:
Quinn is healthy and can play
MM plays and has a good game
MM plays, struggles and Arch comes in
MM gets benched in favor of Arch

Each options gets progressively more controversial going into the off season. I don't think we see option 4, partly for that reason. Option 3 would be bad on field and off, but at least Sark can say that he only did what he had to do to try to win the game and I think both MM and AM can go through a legit QB competition this spring/fall.
One more category, MM struggles and Arch never enters the game.

Here is the tricky thing with our CFP chances...there are 5 undefeated teams ahead of us and only 2 of them would be destined to play each other if remaining unbeaten.

If Georgia, FSU, Washington and Ohio St./Michigan stay undefeated we have no chance.

The other issue is that there are 1 loss teams who could have better resumes than us by the end of the season.

If UGA only loss is to Bama in the SEC championship game. If Bama goes on to beat UGA and their only loss is to us. If Oregon beats an otherwise undefeated Washington in the Pac12 championship. If Washington's only loss is to Oregon. If Ohio state or Michigan's only loss is to the other.

Our biggest resume builder remaining will be a top 10-12ish game against Oklahoma State.

Let me state first that I think he is a terrible official, but he isn't the one who reviews the play, someone else does.

Both Texas and ou (can't believe I have to stick up for them) got robbed on very obvious PI calls this past weekend. The Big XII office should be embarrassed by their officiating.

Spot on.

Been saying this for a week or two now. If things end up with 4 undefeated teams, that will eliminate all teams with 1 loss.

And as you say, the less undefeated teams there are, the more teams there are with 1 loss. That will really make things interesting for the playoff committee. Of course, there are Texas fans who believe we would get in just because we're Texas. Maybe, maybe not.

I have an Idea, think there is a 50/50 chance QE comes back due to the lack of a body of work , plus I think Caleb Williams, Michael Penix ,and Bo Nix easily get drafted ahead of him, maybe even Gabriel (just threw up in my mouth),and Jayden Daniels from LSU might come out early
I don't think QE comes back. Even with this being a loaded QB class. (Williams, Maye, McCarthy, Penix, Nix, Daniels, Beck, and Sanders all in the mix to go in the first 2 days of the draft). Especially if he comes back from this shoulder injury and plays well. NFL will recognize the talent and he should cash in.

Arch has the pedigree and the hype and just as much talent if not more. Maalik has the extra year of experience and game experience. The biggest difference is the ability to run that Arch has that Maalik doesn't. I think that may ultimately be the differentiator when the competition is over.

Are well thought out statements allowed on here?

I don't follow the NFL except the occasional Cowboys game but 8 QBs are not going in the first 2 rounds, not when they can be picked up cheap later plus with the rookie salary cap it doesnt really matter

As for the next QB1, Sark has a favorite at the QB position he showed that last year with Card, if Quinn stick around its his job till he leaves, if he leaves, he will jump Arch over MM despite how the rest of the year plays out

Let's put the Card/Ewers "controversy" to bed please. I think Hudson Card became a serviceable QB while Ewers was out. But he didn't show well against UTSA or Tech. He was serviceable against Alabama and was good versus West Virginia. Card's stats this year are not impressive. Benching Ewers for a QB who had one good game and several good moments in games seems hard to defend. But I'm sure Johnny Depp would agree with you.
