SignUp Now!Yes, I think Arch still has 4 games to give and still redshirt. I would save one game for the bowl game in case MM gets hurt. That leaves three opportunities in 4 regular season games. As far as Arch playing. If red shirting is a goal, then he can play in 4 games. We have 4 regular season games, plus the bowl game plus potentially the B12 championship game. It's unlikely that more then 4 of those games will be situations where Texas is ahead by eneugh to want to bring in Arch. Also Ewers is week to week, if he returns then that's even less snaps to go around.
At this point I would think that Sark can play Arch whenever he feels it's appropriate, and still red shirt him.
yep, no sense in buying a smaller helmet at this point.IMO, if he can manage all of that hair, let him. But leave the no-UT football hand signs at home.View attachment 6912
CFP appearances? National championship appearance? Are you saying Texas loses a game?Yes, I think Arch still has 4 games to give and still redshirt. I would save one game for the bowl game in case MM gets hurt. That leaves three opportunities in 4 regular season games.
All I'm saying he has 4 games to give and keep his redshirt. They wouldnt be losing anything by playing him 4 games, regardless of which games. If Sark thinks QE comes back then play AM in limited spots until he does. IF QE is out the rest of the year, then play AM in selective games. I dont think saving a redshirt is that big of a deal if the player is going to be gone in 3 yrs but Sark would know that. If AM indicates he might want to play 4 yrs, then play him selectively. I dont see the consternation either wayCFP appearances? National championship appearance? Are you saying Texas loses a game?
You ride Murphy til Ewers is back. Murphy will give you the best shot to win each week. A player and their family asking for a redshirt tells me they know the kid needs developing. Why rush him into action with things still on the line? Lose to KSU and TCU? Sure. Play the kid for next year. You don’t give up a potential CCG, CFP, National title shot for the sake of getting a true freshman that wanted to sit a year in the games. Play to win!
I think the KSU data point that gives people pause is that they shut out a Houston team 41 -0, the same team we barely beat the week before. Granted we were Houston's super bowl, but still that's a data point that's hard to ignore.10x better? Really?
KSU never has a highly ranked class. They have no 5-stars so there's no way they can compete with our team of 4 and 5 stars, according to some here.
As I type, KSU has the 77th ranked class in the country.
I look at KSU's schedule and I can't tell what kind of team they are because they haven't played anyone. Southeast Missouri State, Troy, lost to Mizzou, lost to Okie Lite, and its been Tech, TCU and Houston since then. Their record looks good but it could be fools gold.
However, I do remember, ou had not played anyone before us, either.
Where has mm had the opportunity to play yet? Have we had any blowouts? Nope. Sure if Texas is up 49-6 in the 3rd let him play. But do you honestly see Texas doing that to anybody left on the schedule? I don’t. Every week will be the opponents national championship. You saw that in Houston. You will see it every week now.All I'm saying he has 4 games to give and keep his redshirt. They wouldnt be losing anything by playing him 4 games, regardless of which games. Some teams just suck when playing on the road. In fact, KSU is one of those teams. Look at their record this year, notice how they are a different team on the road.I think the KSU data point that gives people pause is that they shut out a Houston team 41 -0, the same team we barely beat the week before. On the plus side KSU certainly has the Longhorns un divided attention, and the game is in DKR.
Some one no name but was dirictor of recruiting of some service. Any way said if Arch had a different last name he would be a 3-*. Time will tell.I’m done commenting on arch vs Murphy. I don’t gave two pinches of shit what arch’s last name is. I personally know a couple of Louisiana high school coaches that coached against arch. Both said pretty good, but overhyped recruiting wise. One of the coaches was with a team that smoked arch’s ass too.

There is a reason we are only 4 point favorites. They lost on the road to a top 15 team in Mizzou due to a last second 50+ FG. Laid an egg against OSU where they turned it over 3 times. But blown out every other team they've played. If they played BYU they'd be 17 point favorites. Some teams just suck when playing on the road. In fact, KSU is one of those teams. We played Houston at their place.
I'm sure we'll be KSU's Super Bowl. We make it past this game, we should be able to finish the schedule with relative ease.
Mizzou was on the road. OSU was on the road. Like I said, some teams do not play well on the road. That works to our advantage. There is a reason we are only 4 point favorites. I expect a very close game. We are in for a real dog fight.
Agree. Where did that crap come from?IMO, if he can manage all of that hair, let him. But leave the no-UT football hand signs at home.View attachment 6912
