For baseball and softball, yes.I'm going to miss the LHN
I saw it several times. The TE would short flash the middle, then back into the drag route and bump the db. Saw it several times. Dana Holgerson is a good offensive mind.I don't think he's saying a simple crossing route is a pick.
I believe he's claiming they were being picked, whether legally or illegally, and that's why the crossing routes were opening up so easily and the defense couldn't keep pace.
I don't recall seeing that, so I'd have to go back and look, but they were clearly running a similar concept repeatedly with Manjack and the walk-on WR.
First of severalKris Ross no longer on the team?
Ross is not a great loss. This is a guy who was contributing early in the season prior to injury and would play a key role next year at DT. Curious to know what happened here.First of several
Need space for new recruits.
Ross moved to DE this year or did he? Agree no loss.Ross is not a great loss. This is a guy who was contributing early in the season prior to injury and would play a key role next year at DT. Curious to know what happened here.
For sure something is wrong in secondary. Injuries play a big partin it.I would rather have Patterson over present coach.I have been listening to Bobby Burton and the Sunshine Band on podcast - and here's what they have been saying about the DB situation at Texas:
1. We are playing very loose coverage. Corners often starting about 9 yards off the ball.
2. There is a problem with "handoffs." In other words - miscommunication handing off coverage from 1 DB to another, causing blown assignments.
An observation that I have - is that both of these - I heard consistently in year 1 of Coach Sark. Number 2 above was a great part of the reason we blew second half leads consistently. But then, both issues seemed to go away in year 2.... And now it they are back.
One thing that strikes me is that Gary Patterson was here in year 2 and the exception is year 2. Furthermore, I heard that Coach P's primary focus was on the secondary - specifically "more press coverage."
Am I overthinking things? I know that our secondary currently looks like a MASH unit. Holmes, Catalon injured. Brooks nicked up. Thoughts??
agree... all the 2nd and 3rd string replacements adds miscommunication. For sure something is wrong in secondary. Injuries play a big partin it.I would rather have Patterson over present coach.
That is right, his frame couldn't hold the additional weight for DT so he went back to DE this year.Ross moved to DE this year or did he? Agree no loss.
I hear he was asked to leave. Apparently, frustration and other emotions got the best of him. That is right, his frame couldn't hold the additional weight for DT so he went back to DE this year.
I actually meant that his loss is not a good thing for Texas, on the field at least. He had already carved out a role this year at DE and would probably have continued to be a major factor at the position over the next few years.
No but it’s time to stop sugarcoating. Sark’s game management and play calling leaving a lot to be desired. Is this Kirk Bohls?
Just rewatched second half. Did not see any picks by recievers. Did see lot (about twice as normal) cushion byDBS. TwoHorns picked each other on one play. And on one was contack but passwent long for TD.
Wonder if Houston coach hasrecovered from spots of the ball.
