Bama took out Colt and Ewers so its obvious to me that they will try the same thing on Saturday.
just about every Top Ten team lost there QB1 at one point during the year, some had a Cinderella story like TCU, some survived like TX and Mich and others were never the same -Tenn

Texas better make sure that QB2 has some meaningful reps in practice

If Malik had to go in I know that there would be an experience drop off but I really think the guy has the skills and definitely the body to stare down that Bama line.  You never know just how good or bad someone is until they face the fire.  I am choosing to believe in Malik should it come to that.

No they won't. Rice knew they were outmatched and played an amoeba defense. A little shifting before the snap and several players standing up. We should be able to pick that up, but we didn't.

Alabama knows they have superior talent and can beat you straight up. I would imagine they will stunt and try some things here and there, but for the most part they will line up and do what they do.

My 2 cents anyway..
Baylor used that last year and tx had trouble with it

I have to remind myself that TX played a bad first half on offense no doubt about it but going into 3rd quarter they made the necessary adjustments and scored 21 pts in the 3rd quarter.  I was happy to see that we could do that.

I think position by position their defense might have an edge, but on offense its at least a draw...so it comes down to staff..Saban and his staff know how to prepare an scheme for this game...it remains to be seen wether Sark and his staff learned from last year..IMO the game comes down to mistakes and turnovers and who capitalizes on them, If our RB1,RB1A, RB1B gouges them for 150+ including one home run we win

I hear people continue to bring up Baylor and how we struggled against the amoeba defense but we score more against them than any of our other final six opponents last season. The stats would seem to indicate that we have not had any more difficulty with that scheme than others at different times. I do not expect Bama to adjust their scheme dramatically based on what Baylor or Rice did simply because Saban believes his defense is good enough to stop anybody at any time.

I expect Bama to play 2deep with double coverage on XW and force QE to show everyone he can hit the other receivers including passes to the RB's and hope they bust a couple of big plays, on Defense Coach K has to bring the house in hopes of a turnover or a fumble, but also keep Milroe inside the hash marks...Auburn has to make every kick

Well, TCU had the luxury of a backup who had started the three previous years.

I think that is exactly why Sark targeted Worthy 17 times against Rice. If Bama thinks we don't have other weapons, then they deserve what's coming.

I think they know AD… or they’ve blocked a game out of their memory.

You have played the position, I have not, but I dont think its Sark that targeted Worthy, its QE. Look at the touchdowns the receivers were wide open and almost walked in the end zone. I find it hard to believe in Sark's elaborate system that its only has one targeted receiver. Worthy is most dangerous in space, not as much in post patterns, but I dont think he likes going over the middle

Everything about the Rice game was scripted toward what Sark wanted Bama to see.

Mitchell, Whit and Sanders better eat.   They will.   This is the kind of game Mitchell can dominate as long as he decides to block in the screen and run game.
