There is a sad angle to it for sure with rivalries being broken up and certain programs basically being relegated to a smaller league.
Imagine how football devastated we'd be if we woke up and we're playing San Jose State, Utah State, etc.
Brutal.
I agree. The idea of "Super Conferences" does not excite me. A lot of history and tradition is being lost. But, to stay relevant in today's college football landscape, you have to chase the dollars. I'm probably in the minority of not being overly excited about the SEC. I'm not against it, just not thrilled.
I guess I'm showing my age.

Agree. I was not excited about moving to the SEC. I know things change. You have to adapt to be competitive and to be the best. Otherwise, you will get left behind.

What's happening in the pac x is a shame, but it happens and will probably happen again in a relatively short period of time. It happened to the sec and we survived. Big schools will always be ok, but I do feel for osu and wsu. Stanford has their own niche. May me a good idea to go independent.
