For sure, although the bromance between Saben and Sark is very apparent.

Not the way I read it. He takes the blame and says better coaching might have gotten him to play better.

Just call it 50/50 as far as blame goes. Sterns and Foster were both bad about taking shots and not wrapping up. IIRC Herman and Orlando addressed this in their weekly pressers.

I guess playing hard for one or two games was good enough for 32-18 over 4 seasons and 4-0 in bowl games. BTW, Mack Brown is the only other Texas coach to have won 4 or more bowl games in consecutive years.

Yes, but no big 12 championships. And one of the seasons Sam was a senior qb.
