Hah! $31,000 on hail damage repair this year. Now my AC is acting up. $8,000 and that's the bro quote.

Your system would have to be absolutely dead for there to be need of a new one.

Several years ago, called AC company out. They quoted me $7K for a new system.

I then called a neighbor who I know is a Trane technician. He came over, replaced the condenser for $350 and I was back in business.

So yours has to be either a case of its so old they don't make the parts for it anymore, or have multiple issues going on at the same time.
