You're over thinking it. IT was reporting that there was a player announcing today. He already told the Texas staff and the schools that he is not choosing. In the middle of their podcast, Bobby got a text that told him that the commitment was pushed back a day. So now 3 commits tomorrow. No double talk, just a change of plans.
JJR moved up his commitment. Is it because tOSU told him not visit Texas and it soured the relationship? Or could he be following through on his silent to tOSU and doing it earlier to placate them? As you can tell I'm a worry wart.
We haven't been saying this explicitly but what is meant is that the folks at IT were saying someone is committing specifically to Texas today. They have ways to signal to the board that a commit is evident to Texas and that is what happened this morning (with the revision that this will actually happen in a day or two instead of today).

I wouldn't. The clearest indication that someone would commit today has already been redacted. Something could happen for sure but doesn't sound like there is a clear announcement tonight.
Sounds like NIL was a major factor in this one and Texas wasn't interested in playing that game with Smith.
I wish - I'd think both of those guys see themselves as #1 regardless of where they commit.
For Calhoun, that could be our way in down the line. It's rumored that Georgia wants him as a guard. He's our #1 target for LT. Baker is a RT.
