Just a observation if his broke hand was interfering with catching the ball, then some one else should have been playing.
There isn’t a better route runner in the country to get open than X.   Only Marvin Harrison Jr is.   Maybe Ewers saw him open and was too tempted to throw.  ?

I agree with not playing him if his hands were broken.

Hand(s) broken sounds bad, but it's hard to know exactly what bone was involved and how much of a problem it was for him. It sounds like it probably made it somewhat harder for him to catch the ball.

What I find interesting is all the posters that think they have enough information and expertise to criticize the staff's roster decisions that are based on way more information and expertise.

say what ????? All I heard about last year was how he kept taking the wrong route to the ball. As fast as X is, if he was a superb route runner, he would be open all the time....

Yea, until proven otherwise, the current Texas roster is not on the same level as the 2005 roster.

I mean we are talking about a team that had 32 players appear in an NFL game and had 17 of 22 starters from the national championship game go on to the NFL.

Here, let me blow your mind a moment. lol

The 2005 Texas roster was indeed talented. However, the team wasn't so talented across the board. For example, the WR room was hardly anything to brag about. There was a reason David Thomas, a TE, was our best receiver.

I'd venture to say Johntay Cook, a WR who has yet to play a down here, would likely start for that 2005 team.

Vince carried that team. We had good role players and some surrounding talent. Thomas is a great example. The OL is a great example as well. But Vince HAD to take matters into his own hands because of our deficiencies at WR and RB.

Fastest WR in the world, and best route runner. Does not help his team if he does not catch the ball.

And IMO Worthy hurt the team and some coach made a bad decision to play him. Then hind sight is an easier decision.

And coaches do make mistakes some admit them and some are to stubborn .

His head wasn’t always there or maybe it was frustration.   QB throwing bad balls, not on same page with each other,  bad play calls,  defensive scheme, QB pressure.

I do believe when locked in he’s as good as anyone in route running.

WRS  Quan.Sweed and someone named Shipley.

Sark needs to win, we can all agree on that. But he deserves a solid chance. To consistently undermine him at every opportunity after only 2 years is stupid.

A decision is made based on available information and expertise.  Not all well informed well reasoned decisions result in positive outcomes.  That doesn't make them bad decisions in hind sight.

We also have no way of knowing what would have happened had Worthy not played. Maybe the defenses would have been able to take advantage of a compressed field. Maybe whoever would have taken his place would have caught less passes. If he hurt or helped the team isn't knowable.

For sure we will never know. Worthy drop passes in several games did he not.

To keep making same decision and expecting different results is What?

We will never know what would happened if Worthy had been sub. for 100% correct. We do know what happened since he did play.

Young wouldn't start for this team.

Cook would start. He is something that offense didn't have.

Beach volley got a new head coach Metzger from UCLA.

Got a portal transfer in Ladies basket ball aT. Herron center from Kentuckyl Played HS at DeSoto.

You are right. You said he would start. If so he has to better than one of them but not both.
There was a third W that you're not referring to.

Ramonce split time between RB and slot.

I didn't say I'd bench those two and you didn't ask.
