Longhorn News/Discussion (Non-Recruiting)

man, what sucks about this whole Beard situation is it's such a stain on the program and the university (if it's true).

It's Baylor level.

When/if it all checks out, CDC and the university need to move swiftly.
When you step back from the Texas Longhorns side of things, if it's domestic assault against his wife, then that would be difficult to come back from, not impossible, but difficult.  Both, all,  of their lives have been dramatically altered from this point forward.  This one fateful night could shatter everything they've worked for.  I'm sure there is a clause in his contract that would forfeit any/all compensation for such a thing and they will be left with nothing.

I know we're very cavalier with the "fire him and move on", but this could/will have lasting affects on their entire family.  I hope there is some misunderstanding in the facts for the family sake, but the initial optics sure don't look good right now.

I disagree it’s Baylor level. Baylor had a whole host of people involved.
This is one guy making a huge mistake. I assume no other people employed with the university are involved.
Just saying this is the type of news we've come to expect from Baylor over the years, if it's true he assaulted/strangled the woman in his life.

But we'll have to wait and see.

Still no definitive confirmation.  Still have conflicting stories being circulated.  Let some smoke clear before making conclusive determinations.  If he did assault a female, he will be gone, and not only from The University of Texas.

I don't think anyone is speaking in absolutes yet.
