When he was hired and I saw his winning percentage it was very disappointing. Then I fell in line like everyone else and bought in. Now at 3 power 5 schools he’s barely above 500. Did anyone on here think 10-10 with would be good? The guy is in the process of failing for the 3rd time and makes the same stubborn mistakes over and over. I’m not saying fire him now but, what has he shown to anyone that he is a winning head coach?

But he is a great recruiter and goes all gas and no brakes.

Was doing some reading and saw a chart of active college football coaches winning percentages.  Sarkesian is ranked 78 out 131.  His overall winning percentage is .560 and current winning percentage with UT is .526

I wonder what most fans would say if they knew those numbers but did not know who they belonged to?  

lets put his career in context, the Washington Husky job was a dumpster fire, the USC job was pre Pete Carroll and Sark had a drinking problem and the AD was a popular USC hero that had no business in that position..

fast forward to Alabama....what was Alabama's record with Sark as their  OC, how many titles did they win, how many QB's did he coach that made it to the NFL (6) including  Carson Palmer that won the Heisman, how many RB's are now in the NFL, How many WR are in the NFL

it may take an entire career to even out his dismal record at Washington and USC

I don’t include Alabama because he was the OC not the HC.  I want him to succeed believe me.  Never doubted that he can develop QB’s. The info that I shared was his winning percentage as a head coach nothing more.  After 9 seasons as a head coach I believe the sample size is big enough to gauge what we can expect.  Could he beat expectations?  Certainly, but will be?  No one truly knows.

After his first 101 games as a college coach, Sark's record stands at 56-45.

After his first 101 games as a college coach, Mack Brown's record was 41-59-1.

I'm not sure that his records at Washington and USC were all that dismal. Now, at Texas, that's a different story. 

He took over a Washington program that had gone 12-47 the previous 5 years and guided them a 34-29 record during this 5 years there culminating with 8-4 his last season. That's actually quite an accomplishment. 

At USC, he was 9-4 in his only full season as HC. Not exactly dismal.

Tom Herman 6 seasons .711 winning percentage.

But I am saying that it is not a given that he won't.

Game plan, reviewing tape, getting the practice squad ready, position meetings...just a few that I can think of off the top of my head.

Agreed.  My only point was to say if you are judging the odds of him being an elite head coach by the sample size I would put those odds at about half of his winning percentage.  I’m not even talking about a natty.

And, no, I am not judging the odds of anything regarding Sark's future career as a head coach.

And he will determine if he stays or goes If he does good I will praise him if not go the other way

With all the current handwringing over Sark, his last record and his current performance, it begs the question, who was your choice? Full disclosure, I thought Fickel was a guy worth approaching but was never a fan of the sleezy guy so many were calling for - Urban.

I keep reading that Sark doesn't manage the 2nd half play calling. We don't score points in the 2nd half. He calls the plays. Just wondering, how his 2nd half play calling was at Alabama where he was just an OC?

Is it his play calling, his multiple duties, his players or his predictability that is causing our 2nd half woes?
