I hope I never reach a point where I take what some anonymous person says on a discussion board so seriously that I choose to put them on ignore.

I think it's too early to stick a fork in Venables and call him done, but with THAT loss being there third in a row and with no BIG12 games being easy they may end up with a season that is difficult to recruit or build from.

Last year Texas lost a bunch of close games after holder double diget leads.  The early loss to Arkansas was the only bad loss, and it was early in the season. 

It's much easier to sell that then it will be for Venables to sell getting blown out , likely many games where they aren't competitive. 

Obviously if he can get his team turned around it would be an easier sell. Maybe it's wishful thinking,  but I don't see that happening.  Some successful coordinators don't cut it as head coaches,  and the early indicators for Venables are bad.
