He has the current 3rd most passing yards. He doesn't play defense. I'm glad to see Casey doing well, even if his team isn't.
He is 3rd out of a total of 6 QBs - that would be 6 QBs who have played 3 games, everyone else is at 2.

Do you think about the stats you use?

He is 20th in yards per game, which is not bad but this early in the season, doesn't really mean much. 2 of his 3 games are against North Dakota and Georgia Southern, not that Northwestern is much better.

Agree, but like I said IF he is healthy then play him.  If he is medically cleared to play next week against TT, then why sit him?
not going to happen in one week, I had a separated shoulder from a maintenance guy hitting my golf cart and and it took two weeks before I could comb my hair or zip my fly with my right arm, and almost six weeks before I could swing a golf club

You know that because I said it in the other thread. This is way down the line of questions after answering responses to hurt player and their future career success or not. Casey isn't sucking personally.

I do see you mentioned the 3 games above, I didn't understand why until I looked myself.

Not trying to contradict you, but it sounds like this is a grade 1 SC joint sprain with no structural damage.

"The prognosis for sternoclavicular injuries is generally favorable. In sprains or grade I injuries, the ligamentous structures are intact, and patients will make a full recovery in 1 to 2 weeks."

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK507894/

granted, I would take 3 weeks to recover at my age.  A 19 year old in peak physical condition will likely heal a lot sooner than me.  Like I said, if he Is medically cleared and healthy then start him. If things are still lingering then sit him.

I was sold on him in 3 qtrs at ULM and 1 qtr against Bama.  He just seems to see the field differently than Card.  Rather he processes the field faster than Card from what limited time I've seen.
I submit to you on this. Good find and I hope this describes his injury status.

I would add that I think Ewers has the ability to make any throw on the field so his options are many. Not so with Card.

I'm by no means a Dr and only Ewers, Sark and the Dr's know the true severity of the injury.  Hopefully it doesn't matter who they have at QB because Bijan, Rojo, Keilan rushed for 400+ yards and 6 TDs against TT.

Here is the thing  with the imjuries:

QE: if it is a SC sprain 1 it's likely 2-4 weeks, sprain 2 more likely 4-6 due to damage to the ligaments. Anything higher might require surgery. So, him missing the UTSA and TT game for sure. What his availability for the WV game depends upon on how he responds to treatment.

Card: him at practice means nothing. How his ankle responds to treatment and how it feels each morning are the bigger questions. Plus how it feels to plant the foot and how well he throws the ball.  Another question will be if it feels okay or if the medical staff feels that it would better to hold him out this week.

BRob: sounds like nothing more than a sore shoulder.

We know from Casey (balling it this year) that Sark doesn't care about that.
Come on... Texas has very good doctors that evaluate injuries using all of the best available imaging technology. Sark isn't going to play anyone against medical advice, no matter how much a player wants in. To suggest otherwise goes completely against the way Sark is running the program.

Casey is balling?  Could have fooled me.  I think he looks like the same mediocre player that was wearing a Texas uniform last season.

Team doctors would give a corpse an OK to play. That's only part of the equation, playing hurt players over healthy backups is the other. Sark stays with hurt QB's too long when the backups don't even get a shot. Same this week, Wright should start. He should have run a series against Bama to see where he's at.

WTF. And if Wright would have thrown a pick 6 and blown the game you would be calling for Sark’s head. Do you remember  we were winning that game with 10 seconds to go?  You’re just on here to say stupid things. So I’m done with your posts.

After Card threw 3 lame ducks it was obvious he was toast on long balls. Card was not the guy to attempt a hail mary with 1 leg. Coaches have to make tough choices. Wright is capable.

As a team fan, I think Card was in the game too long and shouldn't start this week. As a Card fan I hate to see him playing hurt and people thinking he sucks.

If this team has any sort of run game, it's a different conversation.
