Big news on Ewers . . . according to TFB "I was told this morning that the injury is not as severe as it initially appeared from those national media teams. Behind the scene, there is optimism Ewers could return sooner than 4-6 weeks."

I think you'll see Card against TT if his ankle is ready. If we can beat Tech without Ewers, great.

Save him for OU if you can.
Normally I would agree with you if Ewers was a 2nd yr starter and he didn't need more reps.  If he is healthy then have him start against TT.  Obviously if he has lingering issues then you rest him.  Ewers needs more experience and road experience, imo.  What better place than in Lubbock

Agree, but like I said IF he is healthy then play him.  If he is medically cleared to play next week against TT, then why sit him?
That would be a one-week thing. It will take at least 2-3 weeks is what I've heard.

His coach is one of the wealthiest unemployed persons today.
And probably won't get another job unless its a JUCO thing.

He defeated your point. Thompson isn't "balling" so well at all. He had a hand in his coach getting fired this week.

There is a difference in expressing a different opinion as opposed to just saying something stupid.

Not trying to contradict you, but it sounds like this is a grade 1 SC joint sprain with no structural damage.

"The prognosis for sternoclavicular injuries is generally favorable. In sprains or grade I injuries, the ligamentous structures are intact, and patients will make a full recovery in 1 to 2 weeks."

granted, I would take 3 weeks to recover at my age.  A 19 year old in peak physical condition will likely heal a lot sooner than me.  Like I said, if he Is medically cleared and healthy then start him. If things are still lingering then sit him.

I was sold on him in 3 qtrs at ULM and 1 qtr against Bama.  He just seems to see the field differently than Card.  Rather he processes the field faster than Card from what limited time I've seen.

He has the current 3rd most passing yards. He doesn't play defense. I'm glad to see Casey doing well, even if his team isn't.
