Has anyone else heard a rumor that Billingsly is ineligible?  My son told me he read that somewhere.  Anyone have any clue?  Did I miss something?

I haven't heard that. But I would imagine that would have been determined well before now, academically. So unless he killed somebody, he should be good to go. lol

There won’t
Sark said the details will be finished Sat. morning. Who and how much.

Also said the 1st 20 plays are scripted, and that's how he does it.... If you have a bunch of 3 and outs, that could be 7 possessions before adapting to the situation. Brilliant. It may however be better than our adjustments after halftime.

Lol, it’s not rocket science.  Every game is scripted from the start.  Typically the first series. Nothing new.

Here's a quick synopsis of what Sark had to say about this.

On if he scripts plays early:

He's a big Bill Walsh fan. Had breakfast with him and Pete Carroll back in the day, he peppered Walsh with questions. He does subscribe to the opening script. They go 20 plays, take a lot of pride in those 20 plays. Lots of variety to what they do in those 20 plays from personnel, substitutions, getting certain players the ball, getting the QB in rhythm. What throws scripts off is third downs, red zones, short yardage situations. But they pride themselves on that and hopefully coming out of that they have a pretty good pulse of the opponent and then adjust accordingly.

The Horn FM reported that Billingsley had an issue while still at Bama and Texas was appealing an NCAA ruling. They didn't say he was ineligible but it sounded like it.

We will never know with out a depth chart.

Dammit!  Potentially down 3 from the Transfer portal (Neyor, Hall, and Billingsly). Here is hoping for 1k season from Worthy and Whittington, 700 season from Sanders and a 2k total (100rsh, 500rc) season from Bijan.

Why don’t you post somewhere else for a while.

You'll know, on Saturday.

Depth charts given to media are pointless and a lot of coaches don't release them - Georgia, A&M and others didn't release them either.

Sark said he wanted guys to keep competing in practice to earn a spot.

Now tell us how many FG attempts over 50 yards Dicker had and how many he made.

Texas was down 10-0 when Arkie blocked the punt so we didn't exactly have that much momentum to go down the drain at that point.

And I'm not sure how accurate it is to say that momentum went down the drown considering that we outscored Arkie over the next 13 minutes or so of the game. .
@Johnny Deppanswer the question. If you are going to post this drivel, at least be kind enough to follow up.

And I'll add, who has ever ranked college kickers based on 50 yarders? That's NFL Justin Tucker type stuff but certainly not a normal expectation from a college kicker.

Do you remember how good our offense was at the start of most every game? That's because Sark was nails with his opening script. This is a common practice among offensive coordinators at all levels.

My post above explained why I want a depth chart.

Doubt if players stop compbecause of a depth chart..

If a coach knows his kicker can't do it consistently, he won't get many attempts.

Momentum, everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. Then kicked in the balls.

Bijan 1st down, Bijan 2nd down, we saw it last year and we'll see it again.
