Casey Thompson and Huskers lose to Northwestern today

This is the beginning of the farewell tour for Scott Frost. This should have been a win for them.

Very true.  NW is improved, but they're not that great.  Thompson looked great early, but then looked like the same player.  He is a good QB, but that is it.  Marcus Washington had drops again so he hasn't changed much and I really wasn't impressed with O. Mathis.  No doubt Texas wanted to get him, but I wonder if Gary P. said he is good but not worth matching NEB for his services.

Both QBSfaded in second half. And why have chalanges if play isnot overturned? Lots of bad calls on both teams.

Except the NW QB fade was by design as they played extremely conservative in the 4th qtr.  They basically said, "We don't have to play to win because we know you will play to lose"

That's what happened to us last year.

I had to check because I wasn't really sure what level of competition NW was expected to be. Per ESPN FPI, they are expected to beat Duke, Southern Illinois, Miami (the one in Ohio), and basically a coin flip for their only conference win over Illinois.

Who knows were they will land by seasons end but by at least a few predictions they were expected to be bottom of the conference.

Check completion rate for second half vs first half. Thatwas my fade.

He’s just not accurate, even with a healthy hand.  Those late INTs were poor throws.

yea, could/should have been even worse 3:20 mark/6:20 mark and 7 min mark was pretty ugly. Could be long year for Casey.

My last word on Casey. He played hurt last year admire him for that. Might have hurt theteam by doing so.

Sark lost a little respectby playing him to me.

With better refs. and recievers who could catch better might have won. the game. The fumble that was not a fumble cost the game.

It was a nice reply to what he said last week. It does sound like he got asked a bit of a leading question last week.

I read some Nebraska stuff over the offseason. The Nebraska coaches were saying all the right things. Greatest offseason we’ve ever had, great culture, rock star transfers, new OC, and players puking because they wanted it so badly. That credibility was crushed over the weekend.

Pretty common when reality is introduced to hype
