By the way he said "I don't", my impression was that Sark was not planning ahead to predict the flow of the game. He can't really say, "He will come in when we are 30 points ahead." That's a bit of blatant hubris to presume that.

I think he's since clarified and said only 1 QB would get snaps.

Your #2 has game snaps and three off seasons and 2 fall camps under his belt.

Absolutely but I’d really like to see a Texas team pound an opponent they should to the point that the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th string gets game experience. Seems forever ago that we had a coach that would actually keep their foot on the gas.

If I'm HC, this is a game where I keep my starters in there until, like someone said, its 75-0.

I want them to have as much time together in meaningful snaps as I can before they take on Bama. I would switch off where 2nd string guy is clearly comparable talent to the 1st string guy and likely to play against Bama.

70-35 happened, maybe the defense prevents this from being necessary.  Boat racing opponents is, meh.  If it’s out of reach.

Sark got a rude introduction to the Big 12 last year with that All Gas No Brakes by the other teams. If our defense is like last year, we are going to need 50 at least, but no lead is safe.

The offense scored more than 24 points in a game once in the last 6 games.

That's not the point. Putting your foot on someone's throat is. Run up the score, All Gas No Brakes for real. We gave away too many leads. Quick strike is the norm in the Big 12, and he was trying to play like the SEC thinking he could push people.

Well, if Ewers throws for 351 yards and 3 touchdowns and puts up 34 points against Alabama like he did against Westlake, I'm pretty sure that a lot of Texas fans will be happy.
