The title is not a misprint. I don't know what happen to the team that was the preseason #1 team in the land but they're not playing anymore. Does anyone know what happened to that team?

Not just preseason but 11-0 to start the year. Pitching was lights out in those 11 games too. Now, outside of Pete Hansen we don't have any pitchers who are consistently performing well. Offense has been pretty good overall, some off games here and there but I really see the pitching as the major issue.

I think any calls for Pierce's head at this point are unwarranted. He has had more success in 4 seasons than Aston ever did and had a 3rd place finish just last year.

This season seems to be going off the rails but it is an incomplete data point at this time. If things continue to go south and he doesn't follow this year up with significant success over the next few years, yeah, he'll be on the hot seat.

Agreed. I was never super impressed and I'm getting less impressed every week.

It about to come quickly.  Lost 2 of 3 to Kansas St.  and Air Force beats him 14-2?????  Air Force???? Really???? I actually like David…..he’s recruited well, but man some of these teams don’t have a player that could get a roster spot at Texas (as Augie used to tell his team).  We’ll see I guess.

Unfortunately 13 runs still wouldn't have been enough last night.

The offense hasn't been great every game but only 4 of our loses have come when the opponent was held to 4 or 5 runs.

Pierce is a bit of an enigma to me.  It’s like he rotates very good seasons with extremely disappointing ones.

I thought this years team was one of the most talented college baseball teams I’ve seen in a long time.  So far this season has been a bit of a disappointment.
