Florida or LSU probably the land spot right?
Probably. But there is a dark horse role here and Texas is it. Immediate starter at ILB. Endless NIL opportunities. Closer to home.

We have some things going for us in this one.

I'm not saying its happening, but TFB says we have a puncher's chance.

Saw a couple interviews with him. Seems to be all mercenary $$$.... Wonder if he will be " all in"  regardless of where he goes.

I hate that we're a "dark horse"... Sark & Co need to show up with a serious NIL package. He's a starter day 1, close to home, etc... basically what Sha said lol. I would go all in on this kid. He's a difference maker. Don't let him leave the state!!

I count 86 on ships if Perkins comes it would be 87 and Campbell would make 88 and 33 ships for this class.

I said earlier there's a puncher's chance, but thats all it is. I don't think Perkins will come to UT. Just don't see it.

I am hoping Campbell doesn’t get influenced by NIL money from another school. I’m thinking it would be hard to turn down big bucks

Here's the way OB explained how the numbers work.

Texas is sitting on 31 incoming players for the 2022 class which means they have 2 spots remaining to get them to the limit of 33. For every player above they go above that number, they will have to have a player that signed in the December take a gray/blue shirt and reclassify to 2023.

All super-seniors are currently scheduled to be counted in the 85-man scholarship numbers. There has been some talk that all super seniors would be removed out of the 85-man accounting as they were a year ago. That may or may not happen. As it stands now, if Texas gets to 33 in this years class, 5 players will need to leave the program before August in order to get to the 85-man limit. And losing players to attirition only allows Texas to get to 85 players. It does not open up more room to take more players.

Agree with all except the 85 numbers. I count 86 now and 2 morewould be 88. OB could be right this year is almost to keep up with.

Ok, I just got a bad taste of Longhorn recruiting PTSD.  I know some say that Devon Campbell has already signed, but there is a part of me that is waiting for the bad news on this one.  Kind of like D. Sanders and Brini.  Every website  thought Texas was going to nab them (well, at least Brini) only to have them jump the other way.  Texas needs DC.  Hopefully this is just something I ate.
