Both men will have to put their egos aside and become a team approach.

If I'm PK and have the chance to pick up things from someone like Patterson, I do it. 

If I'm Sark, I run my offensive game plan by Patterson every week. If anyone would know how to defeat it, it's Patterson.

You aren't limited to 7 portal transfers a year.

You are limited to 25 "initial counters" - or in other words, 25 scholarship players attributed to a recruiting cycle year. These 25 can be HS, Grad transfer or portal transfer. 

The 7 you are referring to is regarding a NCAA ruling that allows for up to 7 additional transfers to replace players who have transferred away from your program. So it essentially becomes 25 + 7 (if you have had 7 outgoing transfers).

Difficulty from a fan perspective, we never really know which recruits are being counted in what way. Some recruits are back counted to previous recruiting classes. Some may blue shirt or grey shirt. This isn't typically publicly available information which is why you will see so much confusion on boards like this regarding numbers. 

With such confusing rules and limited public information, I have stopped paying much attention to the numbers and just let things play out.

Blue and grey shirts are not counted in present year. They are counted against future classes. Grey shirt 1 year blue 2 years.

SEC schools are limited to 28 signes from Dec. thru May. clnference rule   

Big 10 can only have 88 playersat any time. These may become NCAA rules in future.

There's a rumor going around the net today that Brini (Georgia) is coming to Texas. Arkansas, the other major contender, has stopped following him on social media.
