On OL Kelvin Banks of Humble Summer Creek...IT's latest info has them feeling like he will sign next Wednesday, but they admit they don't know for sure.

If he does sign early, they believe Texas is the favorite and A&M 247 agrees.

Perroni just said Banks told him he was waiting until February.  Hope they keeping everyone guessing, got to think they are getting tired of the process.

IT confirmed that the in-home visit for CB Denver Harris is still on for tonight.

They also mentioned they don't expect A&M defensive coordinator, Mike Elko, to be on that staff next year.

It's possible they wrote this before the news that Duke was targeting Jason Garrett, but I'll let you know if I see anything.

I should add that NFL reporter, Suzy Kolber, was the one with the Garrett news, so it's possible she's just giving him some publicity.

Tfloss, have you heard any updates on Kobie McKenzie? Is he still on the fence between OU and Texas or is he leaning one way over the other?  Thanks.

Nothing other than what IT reported, and they believe he'll stay committed despite OU's recent visit.

IT added a little more info this afternoon saying Sark must feel good about Banks signing next week since he's decided to use his one in-home visit instead of pushing it back to January.

There's also a chance Banks shows up in Austin this weekend.

Hamilton from IT believes LB Harold Perkins of Cypress Park will wait until February to sign, and A&M is the only visit he has scheduled for the weekend.

Nahlin followed that up by saying this is a "huge" development because he's tight with the Houston bunch that keeps in constant contact with each other.

That group includes Banks, Dewberry and Harris.

IT added that Austin is Perkins' favorite city, and his favorite staff is Texas.

That still may not be enough to win the recruitment, however.

Lol Jason Garrett

Coach Flood went by Allen today, per IT.

Unfortunately, nobody has a good hold on what he's going to do as far as where he'll visit or if he'll sign next week.
What?!?   ?   Nobody knows but everyone is reporting...Sounds about par for the course. I really don't like this time of recruiting...days before a signing day. I think I'll just wait until Wednesday afternoon.

Can I get on in this action? I'm reporting that Player X is undecided or doesn't want to tell us. You heard it here first.

Who's Player X?  Come on I gotta know!

Is this his version of the fabled "Texas has always been my dream school" curse?

Hey Doc, good to see you again. You should drop by more often.

You have some very good questions. But (no pun intended) we could "if" and "but" all day.

He's made some drastic moves in the past year or so. He gave up his senior year of HS ball. He became a member of a highly ranked college team, now will give that up in search of more convenient path.

I can't answer your questions but I think they are legitimate, given the history.

Maybe he's happy at Texas? Maybe the coeds keep him smiling? Maybe he sets passing records at UT?

It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Are you sitting on any scoop here? ?
Not necessarily a scoop, but a warm fuzzy or two.

How about those lady volleyball players?  My gosh, if our football team had half the moxie those girls do we would have been 10-1.

Back on Ewers, the fact is he left three teams so  far and the honest truth is no one really knows why.  Oh, there has been plenty of speculation and opinions, but no one really knows except his family.

It's no scoop that he is coming to Texas.  He is and that is all there is to that.
