On QBS why has Wright not seen the field more. Favoring a walkon over him who is on a ship.

Been gteat if Cam had stayed.

If he's seen the field at all, I must have missed it.

Something happened about three weeks ago. Wright was demoted and the other kid was promoted. I'll have to ask my friend about that.

Cam is looking good, beat Oregon bad tonight.

What if we hired Sark and he and the Horns ended the year on a 4-game losing streak. Lost to a Sun Belt school during the season. And ended the year 6-6 but Independence Bowl champs?

Would you be concerned about this team's future and finding a new head coach?

If I knew that he was the next Nick Saban, then I wouldn't be concerned at all with that scenario. Of course Nick had already won a national championship when he did that in his first year at Bama.

Good point. However, do we know he is not?

Full disclosure, I was on the Fickell train but was pretty certain he was not coming to Austin. With the other possible options mentioned at the time of the hire (which I can't quite recall), I'd say Sark is likely the most exciting at then and maybe still. As painful as this season has been, I would really struggle to have endured another season of Mensa to see if maybe Dabo would make the jump this year.

I, myself, have pointed out similar comparisons before and it has never been my contention that this coach was the next Saban or Meyer or Swinney or whoever. It was always be careful NOT to pull the plug too fast because you cannot tell after just one year or two how good a coach will be or not be. Don't make snap judgments.

Like they say, patience is a virtue.

Cannot tell what a coach can do in year or two. DKR says hi
Well, if you want someone who really says hi, what about Dana X. Bible?

Took over a Texas program that had gone 13-14-2 in the previous 3 seasons. Proceeds to go 3-14-1 in his first 2 seasons before rebounding to 8-18-1 after 3 seasons thanks to a 3rd year record of 5-4.

Of course, over the next 7 seasons, he only loses more than 2 games once (5-4) and goes 55-13-2 in those 7 seasons. There were 3 seasons with only 1 loss and 3 seasons with 2 losses. To the best of my knowledge, that 7 season stretch where he only lost more than 2 games in a season once, has not been equaled by any other Texas coach.

No worries, with Sark's contract he'll surely get his chance to prove everyone wrong, or not.

DKR took a 1-9 to 6-4 also team lost to OU 0-40 his team 7-21 a little better than Bible first year.
