The Texas Longhorns (2-1, 0-0) look to win their fourth straight against Matt Wells and the Texas Tech Red Raiders (3-0, 0-0) on Saturday, as Steve Sarkisian makes his Big 12 debut as head coach in Austin.  The Red Raiders bring a revamped defense and new quarterback into the fold this season in Oregon transfer Tyler Shough, while Texas QB1 Casey Thompson starts under center in his first conference game.

Texas' rushing attack has had success through three games this season, but Texas Tech yields just 50 yards on the ground to opponents per game.

Big 12 play opens for both teams and it is critical for the Longhorns to fire on all cylinders if they want to send Texas Tech back to Lubbock with a loss.

Well, with Texas Tech you never know what uniform they will be wearing, but today it is the traditional colors - white jersey with red and black accents, black helmet and black pants with white stripe down the sides.

I hope they get Keilan Robinson involved very early in the game. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see this kid has a couple different gears that not alot of people have.  It would be nice to get him and Bijan on the field at the same time.  Put Keilan at slot or get him moving in motion.  If used properly everybody can’t be covered.  Someone should be open.

Hopefully the East coast guys are awake for the early start and BJ will get some love with a big game. The kid is a stud for certain.

This OL is certainly not where they need to be yet but I am cautiously optimistic watching the Horns score from the 5 running the ball on back to back plays. Doesn't seem that significant but how many times has that happened in the last few years by anyone other than Sam? Baby steps.

That kid is electric and this ST is already better than the past few years.
