Is the gun pointing at you? Or is it holstered? Its pretty simple. Open carry is more or less a deterrent in itself. That said, I prefer not telling the world I have a gun (conceal carry). The criminal will look to shoot you first if they know you're packing.

The article addresses allowing untrained unlicensed people to carry.  Untrained and unlicensed are the key words.  I can foresee many issues with that.  An analogy, we have a drivers license for a reason.

Pointing the gun at someone or holstered; I believe you're addressing my general scenario.  It's not a simple as you think.  Mainly because "fear for ones life" is subjective.  The gun could be holstered and the hand swings towards it.  At that point, "fear for ones life" exists.  Again, that's subjective.

The insurrection was captured on TV and police video.  So I'm not clear on where you're getting "made up bs".  Perhaps you can explain why you think it's "bs".  Because, in this reality, it's documented as an insurrection.  That's a fact.

I wonder if the family of the insurrectionist that was justifiably killed thinks it's "bs".  Or the Capitol Police that were attacked that day.

The insurrectionist went to the Capitol for one reason.  To overturn the free and fair election, kill Congress men and women and hang pence.

But every other police officer that shoots someone (armed or resisting arrest) picture is immediately blaster on every TV channel and every news organization within 5 minutes?

We're in agreement on that issue, Rotty. My main concern is that it is going to make it easier for children to access guns. I am trained and have been around guns all my life and recognize the danger of having a loaded weapon laying around, which will inevitably happen without proper training. 

Good to see we agree.  If you're (general) going to carry, you (general) need to be trained and licensed.

We don’t know because she was white. Those shooting don’t get reported. If she had been black we damn sure would have known who the officer was because he would have been arrested for murder that same day.

if this was an insurrection then so we’re all the other riots that went against police officers and not one media outlet gave a damn. I look at this as an act of violence but I haven’t heard anyone say they were going to kill Congress. A lot of the pictures I saw the rioters didn’t even have guns. As far as the woman that got killed I do wish the officer who shot her would be named and have a full investigation. Maybe someone should ask Pelosi why there weren’t more police officers there. I also saw video of police letting them in and no one was attacking them.

I still didn’t see any guns on the rioters. Some police were shoved around and that was it. I wish the cops would have tear gassed all the people who stormed the building.  Still haven’t seen any evidence they were going there to kill anyone like you claimed.

Pelosi was offered military help and she declined. I wonder why she declined? It boggles my mind why when you knew you were going to have a HUGE crowd coming that you would decline help that would have stopped it before it ever got started. There is strength in power. We all know why she didn’t accept help. This was a total setup to get at Trump. They’re scared to death of Trump

The FBI has already said there were no cases of illegal gun possession at the Jan. 6 event. So you won't be seeing any evidence. You'll just have people trying to lie to you.
