2022 WR Evan Stewart Decommits from Texas

Less than a month after committing to Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns, 2022 Frisco Liberty Wide Receiver Evan Stewart announced his decommitment from Texas. 

The news came via Stewart's twitter account:



Stewart is a 4-star prospect and is the 40th ranked best player in the 2022 class according to the 247Sports Composite, and is the 8th best player in Texas and 5th best wide receiver in the country according to the same ranking service.  

With Stewart's decommitment, Texas dropped from 5th to 8th in the overall 2022 rankings.

I had the same thought... have to look at the timing of everything. Maybe he doesn't even care about the issue, just doesn't want to get involved with controversy.
