The Texas Longhorns are headed into the Big 12 Tournament with a three game win-streak, thanks to three Big 12 road victories last week.  Ranked 15th, Texas (17-7, 11-6) capped the regular season by defeating the TCU Horned Frogs 76-64 on Sunday in Fort Worth.

Monday's release of the new AP Top 25 Poll saw the Longhorns jump two spots to #13.

The Big 12 Conference now includes 7 teams ranked in the poll.

Texas, as a 3-seed, is one of eight teams which will have a first round bye in Kansas City next week as the conference tournament gets underway.

The Longhorns will face sixth-seed Texas Tech on Thursday, March 11th at 8:30 PM.

So, Texas is the #3 seed in the B12, but yet they're the 5th highest rated team in the B12?  Makes a lot of sense to me.

Well Texas finished tied with WVU and own the tiebreaker because they beat Kansas. However that works. Also Okie Lite has been one of the hottest teams in the country as of late.

Rankings are funny.  We beat KU twice and yet they're ranked higher.   Granted they beat BU.  Tech beat us twice and we're ranked higher.  oh well
