Where are the wins and losses in Sark's first year? We've been given a preview of what can be. What say you?

For me, easier out of conference games this go-round before we hit a series with Alabama. Arkansas SHOULD be a win. But you know they get cold chills up their leg about UT. lol

Note that we begin conference play with three straight road games. I can't recall the last time that happened. Then we finished with three out of four at home.

I think we can beat OU but probably won't the first year. OU is not the same team we faced in the Cotton Bowl anymore. Rattler has his his groove.

I keep looking at the Baylor game. I know they were bad last year but with what their new OC is muy bueno. They could be a trap game for us.

TCU, as always, scares me because of Tom Herman. Herman's not here but we have to go to their place, where we haven't played well in the past.

Okie State should be fairly good. Sanders is back but weapons will be new and inexperienced. Think I heard Chubba is going pro. Luckily, we get them at home.

Iowa State will be dangerous, IF Brock Purdy spends another season there. They have talent in the cue waiting. We have to go to their place for this one.

While Tech gave us a scare this year in Lubbock, I don't think we'll have a problem with them in Austin.

My projection is 10-2 or possibly 9-3

I'd agree with 9-3. Hopefully after you have Casey and Bijan in the new offense for a year, Sark's second year would be where we really start making some noise.

Brock Purdy is back and outside of their RB, they pretty much have everyone back.

If we run the KSU offensive scheme vs ISU, we play in the CCG.

BiJon stays healthy, 9-3/10-2

Hate to say this because I loved Sam but think our O is better.

Also think the D is better.

We will be a very attractive target for 2021 portals/Grad transfers.  Predict we land 7-10

I predict 10-2 with potential losses coming from OU, ISU, OSU, and WVU.

This roster has enough talent to win the Big 12 in Sark's first year, but he's getting the lay of the land. I'm cautiously optimistic. Another NY6 bowl would be nice.

Hard to tell.  It all depends how fast the new QBs learn the O scheme.  Casey Thompson looked great in the Alamo Bowl but how will he perform on a consistent basis.  I'm sure Card will get a look as well.

I can see us losing 4 games.

With the coaching changes and what not . . is everybody feeling the same way they did when this was first posted?

Now knowing we have a coaching staff that will not play a position-by-committee approach I feel like we will maybe lose one game and have a heisman this next year.

I don’t think we lose any. I was thinking the other day about film on our coaches. Guess they could get some from Alabama, Washington, who else do they need to call to look at tendencies for early games?

But then hmmm, we have different athletes, oh well, that sucks.

I can't believe you don't have TCU on your list. They have our number until they don't.

You might expect one of your two losses to come to a team we shouldn't lose to. Growin' pains and all. The other will be ISU or OSU IMO. I think we beat OU this year. Sark wants a statement.

We have guys that smell blood in the water. I don’t think that OU who beat us in the 4th overtime last year can feel safe. They won’t have superior coaching this year.

TCU and ISU shouldn’t be feeling all cozy and comfortable. They won’t be having superior coaching, either.

So, what will make the difference?  It’s all going to come down to the Jimmy’s and the Joe’s and their fundamentals and conditioning.

I think our guys are hungry, I think they will be in good shape, and I think their fundamentals will be sound.

TCU is not on my list because I don't think they're very good and a well-prepared team shouldn't lose to them. But, yeah, I can see why they should be included. Especially since the game is in Ft. Worth this year.

Yes!   We have Alabama coaches but don’t have Alabama talent across the board.

Undefeated is a bit unrealistic in 2021.  But fun to imagine.

OU might not have superior coaching but so far they have superior recruiting.

Hope that will change in nextfewmonths.

I would tweak  your statement to “they’re a pretty good, well prepared team with much less talent coming out of high school.”
