Thanks for keeping this up to date Tfloss.  Really appreciate your efforts

One thing, I thought AJ was a done deal though?
I think it will be Milwee since he's been the only name mentioned, just wanted to see a little more confirmation.

Just jumped on the board.  How is everyone doing?  We all in on Sark?

Here is a tidbit for whatever it's worth.  Sark and Ewers were in an hour long Facetime.

Don't get excited yet - I've also heard that Ewers is solidly an Ohio State Buckeye.  Solidly.

Solidly as of January 2021.  At least this is a start.  I really believe Sark will get either Ewers back in to his "dream school" or will get Murphy out of Cali for the 2022 group.  Honestly, if Murphy jumps in sooner, then you build off that, imo.

As solid as Herman being the coach in 2021?

For anyone wondering, Alabama DC Pete Golding is not a candidate for the Texas DC job right now, per 247.
It wouldn't surprise me if Golding wanted to get out from Saban's shadow at Alabama.

Everybody knows it's Saban's defense and he's the de facto DC.

crap....I am officially off the wagon....

many people who dont follow Ewers realize the kid is a devout Christian, he tweets about it very often, I sure that it had a lot to do with WHO recruited him...not saying that Texas is full of heathens and non believers but I do believe it was a major factor in him flipping to OSU. he must have connected with someone on a spiritual level...

If we get Raymond we are getting whoever we want I’m telling y’all this is bad news for CFB if we get this man. He is a better recruiter than lupoi.

Give Davis/Raymond the Houston area going east.

I'm a little late to the 4-man or 3-man defensive line discussion but here is what I remember from when Ash replaced Orlando. Many felt that high school DL recruits preferred the 4 man line because they had more opportunities to showcase their skills and make plays rather than eat up blocks so others could make tackles. It was a recruiting strategy as well as a system preference.

My question is what happened between the time he committed to UT and his subsequent decommittment?  If he is a Christian then once given his oath of being committed would not be something that he would walk away from so quickly.  There had to be something that really turned him away from UT.  I suspect it had something to do with TH but do not really know.  It also could have been the direction of the program but that was evident when he committed.  Curious.

Looking back through some of the early posts, there were several factors. It still hasn't been determined if true or not but there were some rumors of herman bath mouthing ewers and it got back to the family.

The more likely reason I would think are the reasons he gave.

A chance to play for a championship, coaches that can develop him for the next level. He also mentioned his relationship with tosu qb coach. His de commitment occurred during the 2 game losing streak and it was thought that he wasn't impressed at our offense at the time.

Remember back to the weeks before and during his decommitment. Texas was in complete turmoil.

We were racking up 100+ yards per game in penalties each week, losing to TCU, then to OU.

Being that he's just a junior, he may have simply felt he had time to change his mind without hurting Texas. That might be the Christian thing to do.

Wasn't it only a couple of months between committing and de committing?  Seems like he knew the that beforehand.  I'm certain his parents were involved so I don't think you can assume his choice was one of an inexperience teenage kid.  I can see the possibility that TH bad mouthed him.  I find that very believable.  He likely had OSU as a second choice and took it when he felt betrayed.
