Again... he's a twice failed HC looking for a rebound job. Why does Texas need him?

I just don't get the perceived difference in value between a guy like Muschamp and one like Ash.

Agree. And I'm not sure Muschamp's best days aren't behind him. I'd like to be wrong. He hasn't been a DC in 10 years or so.

IMO, he screwed the pooch at Florida. He had a chance to win there. If you ever wonder what life at Texas would have been like under Muschamp, look at Florida.

Never thought he had a shot at South Carolina. Heck, Spurrier and Holtz couldn't win big there.

He didn't always have it even back when he had it. Was only happy with one of his two years as DC here.

His recruitment of Steve Edmond was more or less a sad joke. If Edmond didn't already want to come, he may not have.

I’ll throw in my 2 cents. I’m not a big fan of Muschamp at this stage of his career. I really liked what Ash had started and wish he would get a shot. We shall see. I like what Freeman did at Cincy and he would be good IMHO. I feel bad for the players with all the revolving coaches they have had. Would be nice to keep Ash and have some stability. 
I hope Sark gets input on multiple guys and chooses wisely. That’s a BIG hire.
