Sam will be in the top 3-5 QBs in UT football history (I know hs is currently ranked 2nd in multiple categories, but it's VY then CM).  Good luck to him and I hope he finds a role at tje next level.

IMO, this underscores why the CFB Playoff should be expanded to at least 8, moving forward.

Include all P5 conference champs with at least one G5 at large bid.

I was about to post same thing.  I might even add Duke Carlisle. He won a natty and conference championships. An injury to Jim Hudson could be attributed to Texas losing a national championship, but he lead Texas to beat #1 Alabama and Joe Namath in Orange Bowl (first night time bowl game).

People can cite statistics. I prefer winning. James Street made one of the greatest passes ever in #1 vs #2, Texas vs Arkansas, consider the Game of the Century.  All of the above before ESPN and 24/7 sports. 

No disrespect to Sam. He is a great competitor. I enjoyed watching him play.

I met that guy at a sushi restaurant in Monterrey, CA way back in 2000. I think he owned it. Real nice guy. He noticed my UT shirt when I was out there working and watching a UT game. I learned about sushi at that place.
