Texas HS Championships

Gilmer vs Carthage

Carthage is favored, but Gilmer is coming out swinging. They start off with opening kickoff with unsuccessful onside kick. They hold Carthage. Then on ensuing Gilmer scores on a screen pass to go up 7-0. Then successful with another onside kick. They go down and score again. They are up 14 -0.

Carthage is having a day.  56-14 right now, 2 mins left in 3Q

DB #9 has four picks today, two that he's returned for TDs

RB #2 has 3 TDs and over 200 yds rushing

This is just a tail-whippin'

Lindale getting boat-raced by Argyle.
28-0 almost halftime.

So my hometown team played another Metroplex team in the playoffs last night. Prior to the game, there was a distinct contrast in the two teams.
Lewisville, my home town team, kneeled for the National Anthem.
The opposing team, Arlington Martin, did a military-style salute during the anthem.
As Karma would have it . . .
Arlington Martin 68
Lewisville 0

#8 Longview 56

#3 Lancaster 20

4th

Crosby 62

#5 Texas High 35

4th

Still think it wasn’t a boat racing?  ?
Hmmm, let's see. Gilmer gave up 70 unanswered while Lindale scored 21 after falling behind by 28 ?

? It's "A Tale of Two Games"

Or was that too corny? LOL

Agree Carthage was making a point and the 2nd team wasn't too shabby.

Ennis going down, and pretty convincingly.

Amazing games next week, wish they would play those on TV vs the Pros  ?.   In my area:

North Shore v Katy Tomkins

Crosby v Huntsville

Manvel v FB Hightower

Some really great games so far.  Manvel almost came back and won that game.  The Mavericks took a hit athlete-wise when Shadow Creek HS emerged in the area but nice to see them playing really good football.

Will be  searchingthe skies forsome of them

Hope DCFNF is back on Fox missed it last Friday.
