Can you guarantee somebody that they will get it at a football game with 25-50% attendance.  So far 1.5% of 330,000,000 have gotten this virus in 5 months.  That’s with masks, socially distancing, etc...  I’m willing to face those extremely  low odds.  If YOU are scared that’s fine, worry about you.  The rest of us willing to live life can take care of ourselves.  I’m not a sheep
I've been living life since May. I plan on going to games. Hopefully there is not a massive outbreak among players that leads to cancelations.

This is why it's more serious than the flu. It's not just deaths. It's also long term damage which can hit anyone no matter if they're young, old, healthy, or unhealthy.

I will use Bijan as an example. I don't want to see a possible all time longhorn great to unnecessarily get covid 19 and ruin his career.

At this point in time I'm not sure it's safe to play or not. I heard Charles Thompson is in favor Casey playing and I have not heard any other parents against it.

Long-term symptoms, complications of COVID-19

There aren't enough studies to consider much information about covid-19 as anything but anecdotal. And I'm talking meds and disabilities. There is too much info out there and a lot of it is wrong. Even Fauci can't help but flip flop on things.

Plus I am completely sick of all the doom and gloom. As soon as anyone says anything positive it seems half of social media trashes them.

And while I'm on a rant, another thing I hate are the words and idea of "new normal". F*ck that shi+.

Rant over.....for now.

Seriously, Hookfin? Had not expected him to be much of a contributor this season barring a rash of injuries. Is it a sign of his development or the lack of quality OL?
Apparently, he blew up in the off season and worked hard. He's at 300 lbs but looks and plays like he's 250. They say he's got a nasty streak in him.

I know everyone has projected Tyler Johnson inside, but can play either tackle position?  I thought he was a OT in HS.  If he can and Hookfin is that good, then this OL just got stronger for the next 3 years.  Johnson, Angilau, Ghirmai, Hookfin, and Jones.  Very athletic and nasty OL.  At least imo.

A century ago, schools responded with in-time solutions. Some cobbled together full schedules; some played partial schedules; and some stayed home. The University of Texas shut down for a month and canceled its rivalry game against Oklahoma. As John Maher and Kirk Bohls describe in their history of Longhorns football, Texas arranged two games against Radio School and one against Camp Mabry Auto Mechanics, both military installations in the Austin area, and rescheduled its SMU game for late November. All most Texas fans know is that the 1918 Longhorns went 9-0. Those who look closer will see that, a few days after Texas closed its season with a victory against Texas A&M, the flu returned to campus and took the lives of 200 people, including 17-year-old guard Joe Spence.

How a century-old season could teach college football to embrace the unexpected

Man we’re stacked at receiver. It’s going to be a matter of if any of them will step up when the lights are on. Man I look at these clips they’re putting out and Sam has so many weapons. Some of these young guys are going to play early. Omeire, Dixon. Good QB’s, Good OL, Good RB’s, Good Offensive coordinator. No excuses now.

I’ve been following THE University of Texas for well over 50 years and I can’t recall having a more stacked QB room than we’ll have with what’s on campus and when Milroe and Ewers get there. We all know some of these guys will probably transfer but we’re set for the foreseeable future with whoever stays. These are high level dudes.

Bradley, Norwood  and Street plus the others I can not remember might equal QB room depth.

Then time Ewers enrolles some might be gone.
