Okay, but what I'm saying is why is that a bad thing since they obviously failed at their job? When you go through a pandemic and use all your inventory, you certainly must refill that inventory because you now understand what a pandemic does to your country.

When we needed the stuff, it wasn't there. A group of guys is just a group of guys in this case.

Can we get rid of the political propaganda already? At this point, it's idiotic and makes this board look dumb.

Meanwhile, there is sports.

Question to the board – is this the last year that we will play a basketball schedule at the Erwin Center? I saw a preview story on the new schedule and saw Erwin Center listed all over. So I assume construction on the new gig will start next year?

That might take care of a small region of the country.

Basically empty.

If there's an argument, lets start a political thread. Lets not pollute yet another football thread.

Most of those 16,000 did not work.

The country was not ready for COVID-19. It was not Obama’s fault and it was not trumps fault. Shit happens.

Yes, I agree should take it to another thread.  Read the blue box in the middle of the article above.  "All of these ventilators were serviced, recertified and operable"
Also, since June 17, the govt has  "distributed 10,640 ", which is less than the 16,000.  So, NOT basically empty.

This is just one city needing 30,000, assuming the Governor isn't just making stuff up.

Trump isn't God.  Its a virus for god sake its not like customs can impound it at the airport.  I mean I get it, some you guys hate Trump and that is fine.

I remember Biden saying Trump was Xenophobic for travel banning China but now Biden says he would done it sooner.  The guy is a genius,  Biden would have probably figured out a way to help China profit off US deaths.  Not to mention the poor sap probably wont even remember his own name in 6 months from now.

If trump cured cancer, I am sure some you would blame him for putting doctors out of work.

The hypocrisy of local governments citing people for attending church services during the lock down but allowing thousands to protest in the streets is no problem.  I wonder why?  Both benefit the Democrats agenda.  Keep the economy suppressed and cause civil unrest.

The request was based on projections.  As any good leader would do, always request way more than you need, negotiate down from there.  Luckily, they didn't need what was projected.  NY is doing good now compared to other states, Texas being one of them.

New York has not done well. 32,119 deaths to date.

Texas, OTOH, has had 2,655.

California has more than 6,000 deaths.

New Jersey at 15,000

Massachussets, who has had about half the cases Texas has, has 8,198 deaths.

I'd say Texas is doing rather well in comparison. There are some common denominators here, but I'll let you figure that part out.

My statement was based on positivity rate and daily cases.  A glance at those charts, NY is doing rather well compared to Texas.

Well, I signed on to share this. Unless the headline was misleading. “Baffert’s horses test positive.”  It was scrolling at the bottom of the Texas/Arkansas game.

I assumed it was coronavirus.  Nope. It was banned substances. Whew.

Today was the first time I heard that 3 people that I know have coronavirus. We have been lucky, so far. Tonight I am jumpy and concerned.

Hook’em!

speaking of ventalators...In SA they are not using them....they are instead running the blood through oxygenators which work faster and much, much better to help the sick folks. They said the ventalators were causing damage to already compromised lungs...
