Ohio State passing game coordinator Mike Yurcich, the top candidate for Texas OC job, expected to be named Horns’ OC next week, sources told @Stadium. At Thursday’s @Fiesta_Bowl availability, Yurcich wouldn’t comment on Texas & told me his “focus is 100 percent on Clemson.”

That was Chris Ash that Meyer was talking about. The guy at Bucknuts said that Yurcich is not a grinder as a recruiter. 
 
In that case I can recommend a new TE coach...Tim Brewster. He can help take care of the recruiting. Herman worked with Brewster before at UT. He would have to steal him from Mack and that would be a comfort hire that I would like.

Not sure if he was responsible for the recruiting part but Ok State always seems to be able to find and develop very skilled receivers and RBs. Whether he is a world class recruiter or not, success on the field and players being recognized nationally will attract more quality players. Especially at a place like Texas.

He gets Ingram, RJ, TW, and BR for starters. If I were an OC I'd feel like I won the lottery. Toughness, speed, receiving ability all covered.

And for all of his offensive acumen and even with the Buckeyes signing two quarterbacks last week, Yurcich isn’t widely regarded as a top-level recruiter — and it’s no secret how important that quality is to Day.
