Longhorn News/Discussion (Non-Recruiting)

Per brainiacs, we have a locker room issue. Some tension between certain players and certain coaches. One offensive starter skipped practice yesterday and likely will not start this weekend.
Any word on who this may be?  I don't know why, but my random and completely unsubstantiated guess is Ingram due to wanting more touches vs splitting them with Roschon.  Again, just a completely out of left field guess.  Jake Smith and Epps aren't starters so that rules them out.  I'd be a little surprised if it was one of the linemen.  Colin and Duve are captains so it feels like it wouldn't be either of those guys.  No way it would be Sam.

Makes sense.  Add in the hype that Bijan is getting and his position as the starter next year is even more tenuous.

I had that funny feeling this was going to happen.. and on top of that Texas will lose recruits..  Like what the hell is going on in Austin???

Decommits happen. Its not necessarily a sign of bad things. Bama has decommits too.

If you will remember, there were several here, including myself, who weren't so enamored with Princely and viewed him as future depth. I'm not broken up about this.

Collins is the real prize.

Save this ship for next year when the pool is deeper.

I'm more concerned about Collins

Seeing a report that this involves a player dealing with some issues beyond football and that the situation is sensitive.

I read some where Princley did not like a three man front. Also he is friends with Collins which hurt there.

As for as saving ships by my count 19 commits and19 ships open. And more offers out.

Princely likes what he is talked into liking. Opposing coaches in his ear, telling him how he'll fail at Texas. When Princely committed, we had a 3-man front.

It will work out for the best for him because I don't think he would have ever won a starting job at Texas.

Collins is also friends with Broughton and about a dozen other UT commits.
