2020 Recruiting Board/Thread

With the aggy AD now at LSU, don't be surprised if Orgeron stumbles this year for Jimbo-to-LSU rumors to swirl.  Every program around will be telling recruits Jimbo wont be around much longer, if they haven't started already.
Jimbo will never get out of the SEC West at aggy. Maybe he's realizing this. I think he'd do pretty well at LSU.

I don't think LSU can or would match his current contract.

He has a no buyout clause, which from my understanding makes him more attainable.

They don’t need to match, they could technically hire Jimbo for $1 and he would make $7.5mm/year for the duration of his 10 years from Aggies. LSU could make jimbo the highest paid coach by paying him only $3mm/year bc he would be getting the rest from Aggie. I don’t think he will leave just yet but I could get interesting depending on who Aggies hire(Jimbo will pretty much hire this AD anyway).

aggy would not have to pay any of his salary if he left voluntarily.

It won't be Texas. :(

Slim pickings with LB recruiting.  Uncle Red needs to book a weekend flight for Justin Flowe ASAP.

Lotta people talking about other schools paying players. Seems awfully aggy without reporting, evidence, facts - something more than pouting about losing players to rival schools. Has anyone actually looked into it recently? Love to read some unbiased and informed take on money in modern recruiting.

Well, there is this.

IMHO, the reason you don't get reporting, evidence, and facts is that these guys are really good at what they do.

Thanks for putting that here. I don’t know how to do that shit. But I do know how to google and there’s more than one article on SEC bagmen. I’m sure you know that.

And the only SEC schools that haven’t been caught doing that shit are probably Florida Kentucky and Vanderbilt.

And since the NCAA no longer cares they’re going to keep doing it.
