At the half in Houston (Rebuild Texas Relief Fund Exhibition Game), Texas leads Texas A&M 40-27.

Mo Bamba and Eric Davis lead the Longhorns in scoring with 10 points each.

Longhorns shooting 63% from the field compared to Texas A&M's 25%.

Thanks for the updates Aaron.  I am eagerly awaiting the basketball season!

I was watching the game on the stat feed ... I know, how boring is my life?  If the stat feed was correct, it looked like there were four Horns with at least five personals, and I swear that one Horn playing had six personals at some time early in the second half.  ATM had one player with six at one point.  They must have decided to treat it like a real "exhibition" and let them play.  At one time, Texas had three players on the court that had fouled out.  Osetkowski had five early with a Technical.  I bet he 'came back off the bench after the Technical with a Lucha Libre mask and cape !!!  Maybe not, if the stat feed was messed up, don't ruin my imaginary re-creation of the game ... we beat the Aggroids DADGUMBURNIT !!!  ; )  I am all for making this an annual exhibition game in some different obscure corner of Texas each year ... "Lucha Libre" rules, of course !!!  ; )

Good start.  A tour over the years along the border would be great, whe should call it "The Lucha Libre Rules Tour" ... One year  Fort Stockton, one year Alpine, next year Del Rio, the next year Laredo, but never Presidio, what wou;d the players think about playing out along the salt flats !!!  I am afraid that would cause a problem with recruiting for us ... maybe not ATM though.  ; )

It's always good to beat aggy, in anything. Always.

BTW, glad to hear it was for a good cause. Hopefully it will be on the LHN soon!

Gotta do Marfa, too. Time it with the Marfa Lights convention and free passes to the tin foil hats in da house

Yes it is !!!

If Texas had handled this in a manner that was in their best interests, they would have set this game up as pay for view streaming on-line.  I would have gladly paid a premium  to stream this game on-line.  I would also pay to stream men's football and basketball games on-line when they are not available over non-cable/satellite sources.  Kansas-Missouri did it for their exhibition fund raiser.  Texas/ATM could have raised a lot more money tonight.  I have never subscribed to cable or satellite and never will.  Texas thought that it was so far ahead of the curve of the market when it signed up with ESPN.  How does that look now?

Marfa gets rolled into the Alpine game ... let's face it, Marfa is to Alpine as Santa Fe is to Albuquerque, Albuquerque has The Pit and Alpine, at least, has a gymnasium, even though it belongs to an ATM subsidiary.

It wasn't Texas' fault, blame the Big 12 & SEC broadcasting rights. Kansas & Mizzou were able to get an exemption somehow, Texas and A&M were not.

I am sure that there are all kinds of machinations that led to the situation being as it was ... not to mention that it was put together on pretty short notice.  I have to applaud both schools for doing this to raise funds for such a good cause.  On the other hand, I could not resist the temptation to get a dig in against the LHN, you know ... late night rabble rousing ... and I seriously don't really care about that one way or the other.

I have season tickets, and it is interesting  that all of the away games are to be carried on over the air channels or some flavor of ESPN (thank goodness for Sling TV !!!) .  This is the first time I can remember that being the case.  I guess we can thank the "Bamba Effect". ; )
