Maryland Film Review (by Ryan Bridges)

I was at the game, the fans were booing the refs after the 2nd hold call (in a row I believe) on Williams.

Whether they were arseholes or not, you should never throw a beer on the opposing team's fans. First of all it's classless and secondly, why waste a daym good beer?!  <_<

Adferrnum,  I believe your analysis is on the money. Under stress, people can easily fall into old, bad habits. It's at least partially due to muscle memory.

Herman also said he thought they were thinking, rather than simply acting, which makes so many look a step slow.

Once the new, improved motor pathways are developed, the thinking stops, as well as, the regression.

Hook 'em!

Java, what you said is not unlike what happens when playing golf. Thinking about the golf swing can lead to disaster. Just letting go and not thinking about it most of the time leads to much better results. Lots of times when I just decide to rare back and hit the ball as hard as I can, I get exceptional results. But if I try and guide the ball, it can end up going anywhere. Strange how that works. You have to just let your natural instinct take over.

So if we go beat USC next week are we all of a sudden contending with OU for the conference? Guys I think we are overreacting.  This is still a 8-9 win squad and I think Maryland might have just been a little better than everyone expected. No need to throw #7 under the bus when the dude played well enough for us to win. Bottom line is that unless we stop people on D we aren't gonna win very many games anyway. It's football, every year teams lose games they shouldn't. I don't agree with the sentiment that this is 2016 all over again. Let the man coach, he has a proven record of success everywhere he's been. To be honest I like the way the offense looked from a coaching perspective because it's very tough to account for all the pre snap motions and such, our receivers were consistently getting open in the pass game,  it just came down to execution. This will be a good season guys, much rather get these things fixed week one , than to have beat these guys and San Jose and then get pooped on by USC because we were on our high horse.

Ps. I'd much rather be a Longhorn fan than an Aggie fan right now. That's a program in true disarray.

They better fix the defense otherwise it wont be a good season.

Still floors me we are talking about the offense but yet Maryland scores 51 points and somehow the offense, the QB, the play calling are center stage.      Just how great is Texas Tech every year?  Enough said.

Finally someone that agrees with myself. It's not the end of the season. I was hoping for 8 wins and it's achievable with better Defense. Yes we are harping on defense but every big 12 defense gets serious points put on them, its sad. Talk radio saying we are going to be 1-6 after okiestate. No way in hell. Just don't see it. Once again ready for Saturday to see a much better ball club. Get the fans back on the good guys side
