So says a connected friend. Apparently, Sexton has been contacted and he's tried to steer Texas in a different direction. I am told Herman is "locked in" to LSU. Its a gentleman's agreement of course, but happened before LSU let Miles go. Texas is not giving up, but this is where its at.

Sexton is Herman's agent.

I truly hope this is wrong.

Sorry don't believe it. Herman didn't turn down South Carolina to wait for LSU. It's Texas.

I'm just sharing what I was told. And it doesn't matter to me if you believe it or not.

It is what it is.

But to your statement, I'm confused by your apparent high regard for South Carolina. You can't do at SC what you can do at LSU.

Herman + LSU = End of Saban's reign

Let's just hope we don't have a replay of the last coaching search cluster F. Embarrassing when Texas can't get their top choice/s to come to Austin. Now, who is ready for hoops?!

Herman to Texas seems to be what most desire but which team (LSU or Texas) needs offensive help? I can see the logic in what you hear. Even if Herman chooses Texas, the big question we ought to be asking is who does he bring in to run the defense?

A&M has had some of the best talent on the defensive side of the football since they left for the SEC, Von Miller and Myles Garrett on top of their recruiting victories and have been a woeful defense until this year (so far). Talent doesn't fix all things on the defense.

It's not the prestige of South Carolina. He turned down bigger money. To wait on Texas. I just don't see him choosing LSU over Texas AND USC.

The potential for a Herman offense at LSU is off the charts and would be so immediately.

LSU was working this well before Miles was let go.

I don't know if its true or not, but what I know to be true is Herman at LSU would be a national championship factory. This contact is seldom wrong though.

We need a head coach that can prepare his team, teach fundamentals, make adjustments in game and evaluate assistant coaches.

Whether it's Herman or someone else but it's not Strong that's for sure.

In other news, UH is losing to Navy, 41-33, and Herman's Cougars just had a PAT blocked.

This sickens me if true. Rome is burning while we played the fiddle.
