Texas will exceed these predictions. Lots of returning players with lots of experience. Add a new philosophy with Smart and new guard talent and huge potential with this team.

That said, I agree with you. Texas has a legitimate opportunity to take people by surprise this year. The Big 12 Championship is not out of reach.

I love Rick Barnes. Helluva guy. But honestly, he was stagnate and holding the program back. So we have an upgrade at HC. If anything, I would have placed Texas right outside the top 25. The cupboard wasn't exactly bare and the player you mention we lost wasn't really a key producer on the team.

We'll prolly drop one or two that we shouldn't, early. But I think we finish the season off beating some folks we aren't supposed to.

I don't care about preseason polls. I really don't care about "in" season polls. We just need to get to the dance and show everyone what we have. Until that happens, #25, #40 or #65, who cares. Let's settle this on the court.
