Anyone just a little bit worried about the 2016 class ?

I know recruiting analysts are saying it's a marathon and not a sprint, but we have the 53rd ranked class for 2016 on 24/7 sports.

That's not a good thing whether its a marathon or a sack race and I'm just a bit worried.

CP, calm down.  Seriously.

Why are you worried about our 2016 recruiting ranking when the 2015 season hasn't started?  Why are you worried about LSU when their coach is on the hot seat  and may not be there next year?

Find something else to worry about, something serious.  How are you getting to South Bend?  That's legit.  Where are you staying in Dallas for OU weekend?  That, too, is legit.  Charlie has the rest under control.

Hook 'em!

As I said in burnt ends, Charlie doesn't really heat up until the weather gets cold. There are a lot of guys out there with Texas in front, but it will take longer to get there. These are unfamiliar waters after coming off the Mack Brown era, but things will get going in the next month or two.

My advice is worry about Notre Dame, the game is in ten days. Worry about recruiting in December, until then

Count me in with Puppy too many top players are already commited, espically OL and IMO doubtfull if they decommit.Mack started this early commit thing and now all top coaches or at least most are doing the early thing.

No reason to worry. This is a dead time. Everyone is getting ready for the seasons. Once the season is underway, the official visits will start and things will pick up.

Everybody just relax.

Sigh...I've seen more decommits lately than commits.  Worrying at this point is foolish, silly, and an exercise for programs with nothing going for them.  We have so much going for us it makes this a moot point.

Ok, I'm out.  See 'ya, and

Hook 'em!

Who is worring just comments on recruiting. Sure they might be negative but what the difference in posters getting giddy about a new commit who might never make it as a player?

The team is going into the season with only 78 scholarship players (and that is after giving Merrick a scholarship starting this fall) and supposedly the 2015 recruiting class was beyond excellent, so the bar is pretty low when it comes to recruiting at UT these days. Having the 53rd ranked class at this point in the recruiting cycle is probably pretty much what we should be getting used to. So yes, having a recruiting class ranked that high at this point is hugely positive.

At this time last year, the Horns had 8 verbal commits.  That's the exact number of verbals at this time.  Until this staff gives me cause to worry, I'm going to trust Charlie and Co. will build recruiting momentum.

Duke, unlike quite a few posters on this board, I don't ever really find myself all that annoyed with your posts. With that said, this post is so ridiculous that I can't help but respond. Having a 53rd ranked class is what we're going to be getting used to? The 2015 class in which we pulled down many top commits and flipped a few at the deadline isn't something to be excited about? Changing the culture of a program that has been run over for the better part of five years isn't going to be a process?

Come on dude. You're passing realism with pessimism and it's overshadowing your sometimes insightful and more discussion driven posts. I say that not as one of the those posters who simply places you on ignore. But as somebody who found value in some of the more, again, insightful posts you've shared in the past.
