2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

Things went from solid to shaky really quick. We had the potential to have a top 5 class, to let's hope we can hang on to a top 10-12 class. Craziness

Wow...Looks like kids and parents aren't so sold on Charlie's core values after all.

Texas coaches get in-home on Thusday with 4-star QB Kai Locksley

Well… I suppose that depends on which kids and parents.

I believe that there are more than enough kids and parents that are sold, or will be sold on Charlie’s core values, that over reasonable time… Texas will be back to playing championship caliber football.

I can only imagine the distraction… and time wasted last season weeding out the “non core value†kids.

The sooner this weeding out process ends…and energy can be focused more on developing the kids who are compliant… the quicker winning football will return to the 40 acres, IMO.

Think about it. Son commits to Texas. Mom pimps son's arch rival. This predates the UCLA thing.

Something isn't right here. Maybe we don't want to know.

I think what Charlie expressed was that there would no longer be a reserved spot in the class if he took the trip. IMO, that's fair. If you're committed, don't defy the definition of the word. If you want to take visits, take them and then commit once you're done.

Lol. We lose a couple of kids to other schools and all of a sudden kids and parents aren't buying in? Never mind that Strong is putting together a Top 10 class after years of the Texas program being in complete disarray. Never mind the fact that he just so happened to pull down who many notable recruiting sources consider to be the #1 Recruit in the State. Or that the same kid just so happens to be considered one of the Top Ten recruits in the Nation by many notable recruiting sources.

The sky is falling. The sky is falling.

Seriously though, we're seeing some gross over-reaction right now. I think people need to calm down a little bit. We lost Irvin? There are far more day one ready Safeties in the 2016 class that Texas will undoubtedly have a good shot at. And while I don't doubt he would have made for a good Nickel, Texas can get that same effort elsewhere. His Kick Return game? You score Ryan Newsome and people aren't even thinking about asking "What if?" in regards to Irvin. We lose Lampkin? Lampkin wasn't exactly a day one starter. Heck, I would have been shocked if he didn't sit the next three years behind Ford and Nelson. Could you use another DT in this class? Sure. Are you hurting if you don't get it, no.

I'm not saying everything is sunshine and rainbows but my goodness. There are over a hundred FBS programs who did worse than us this year in recruiting and we're not even done yet.

The rank of the class is irrelevant to me, just symbolic more than anything. I keep going back to what Charlie did with classes at Louisville that were ranked in the 20s, 30s and 40s.

We should finish around 10 or better. Lampkin may be gone but better than he awaits us (not DTs necessarily).

Lampkin's tantrum suits Stoops well, whom has thrown a few thousand in his time.

if i could just fly from newfoundland to austin to be  a fly on the wall lol to see these recruiting visits lol i'll be there like a kid in a snicker bag

ðŸ™ðŸ™ðŸ™ I totally agree..Im focusing on what Coach Strong did with supposed lesser talented Recruiting Classes at Louisville and excited to see how this translates for us. IMO the core values simply weed out selfish Divas. #LetsRide #Hookem

Now 2 of them

Its going around I guess

Visit?

The much ballywhooed surprise?

They're just f*&^'in with us.  Aggies love to torment Longhorns.  They'll eventually end up on ebay or tucked back in their closet somewhere.

Woah. I thought Lodge was done with Texas? And Kyler Murray as well?

They'd wear those well.
