I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I'm still worried about our offense heading into 2015.  I'm not convinced Swoopes will ever be the answer at QB and we've still got challenges with our O-Line.  Coach Watson's play-calling has also been suspect, IMO.

True, play-calling should always be fluid with an experienced QB able to "check-out" of a bad play at the LOS.  Based on my observations, Swoopes either didn't have the know-how or the green light to do so.

Looks to me like we blocked folks at least six times this year.

But, to answer your question, a "hot read" to a receiver or back is always available when a defense stacks the box with 8+. Swoopes fell in love with one check down, pass to the RB in the flat, against TCU. It only really hurt us once on the Pick 6.  Great anticipation and play by their DE.

You're welcome to be a Ty Swoopes apologist.  I just happen to disagree and hope that we have a better option in 2015 and beyond.

Agreed, but my biggest criticism of this staff is where are the halftime adjustments?

We stunk in the 3rd Quarter of most games this year.  Why?

What we heard all year was execution.   That's the PC answer for "I dont know".  Multiple things.  Lack of leadership on Offense, tired defense, crappy special teams, poor clock management (UCLA especially), poor choices on personnel, Gray run on 4th and 2 instead of Brown the better inside runner.  

I did find that quotes about Watson "trying to be perfect" on his game was interesting.  

Funny you brought up the adjustments thing.  I cant remember which game it was but Lowell on the network asked charlie during rewind what happened regarding why we couldnt move the ball and he mention something like "we didn't do anything different in the 2nd half than we did in the 1st half.  We moved the ball well in the first doing the same thing but just didn't execute in the 2nd half"  Lowell later that week, during game day, made a comment that "maybe that was the problem, we didn't make adjustments".

Well, I edited my comment.  I saw a bunch of our lineman with hands on the hips and breathing like they just ran the marathon with 5 minutes left in the 2 quarter.  Not only are they tired they are probably tired of watching our crappy offense choke time after time with 3 and outs.

I think if we had QB with confidence and mental sharpness we would have done better, but then again everyone on this forum knows I have been dogging Swoopes since KState

The play I would call would be to have 4 WR to go down 50yds and meet in the middle of the field and have right tackle ( yes I know ) go down 20 yds and the qb throw a 20 yder to the right tackle.....Touchdown (fast right tackle)
