Oh, Aggy

I don't think he is a troll - he is way too sensitive to be a very good one. :)

I will cut him some slack and say that I think he was trying to say that our coin toss miscue was laughed at by the country.  Hell,  I laughed myself.

This is a far cry from "becoming the laughing stock of the country".  Them's fightin' words, Monarch. :)
oh, don't worry about it doc.  you are a great stalwart, and i know that you care about us.  (this is why we are crazy about you)  however, this season is still very young, and already, i have spent a great deal of money traveling to and from gridiron matchups.  not to mention, over the past several years traveling back and forth as per abroad.  trust me, i could care less about being referred to as a "troll" by someone for whom refers to himself as a "bear". (imagine that)  sensitive?  you are indeed correct!  i am quite sensitive regarding the UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS.  this is indeed the primary reason,  that i perform so very much throughout the world that i travel, letting everyone know just what a great and wonderful institution that it is.

also, due to my "sensitivity" can you just imagine just how much it hurts me to constantly reference all of the negative, embarrassing, details, that come forth basically upon a daily vs monthly basis regarding our great program?  yes, please take a moment to really think about it... IT HURTS!  this is the very reason that i just cannot fathom the idea of constantly laughing and talking about other institutions vs programs, when we are hereby being constantly heralded as a huge embarrassment to our very own institutional creeds.  it makes me sick to my stomach, when i reference some of those national media headlines, and i go into the "comments" section, and then read with the foremost disgust... many items, that people across this nation are hereby espousing about this great school that i love.  heck, there are even a few of our very young recruits, that are hereby becoming a bit embarrassed as per their own peer groups, by constantly trying to champion the school that they have chosen to commit to, and then... WAM BAM!  another negative national headline comes forth out of nowhere.

so you see doc, it just does not phase of hurt me when other's try and denigrate me.  I KNOW JUST WHERE MY HEART LIES.  for those, that just cannot handle the truth that i speak... then they can stay the hell out of my kitchen. for i have never, ever, championed becoming a hypocrite.  i shall never laugh and denigrate others.. all the while residing in a residence, constructed completely of extremely fragile glass.  my parents, just did not raise me that way. however, i can guarantee anyone this... my HORNS, are constantly being raised... TEXAS FIGHT, is always in my heart.  isn't this all that really matters?

LOL - Monarch - you are one strange dude (are you a Dude? - Serious question.). You have failed to understand that everyone hates a winner and jealousy and envy will always have people trying to downgrade my beloved Longhorns.  We may have struggled, lately, in football - but we are the best university in this country and, by far, in the State of Texas.  You want to see who is the laughing stock of the country - go pick up a book of aggy jokes.  That should answer that question.

You are too concerned about what UT haters write about us.  Don't you understand how much of a compliment that really is?   When I was growing up, everyone wanted to say they beat a Corvette in a drag race.  That's because the Corvette was the best and beating it was an accomplishment.

Well, The University of Texas is the "Corvette" of colleges and the measuring stick of all the wannabes.

Don't ever forget this.

1.  Why are you in Afghanistan?

2.  I wasn't being a smart ass - I really didn't know what your gender was

3.  I'm impressed with your UT party

4.  If you are in the service, I am even more impressed

5.  If you are a terrorist - can you give the address where you are holding the party - and names as well?

6.  Anyone that likes Ding Dongs can't be all that bad. :P

doc, somehow i thought you were hereby abreast of the deal.  i have been working as per a military contractor since 2004 throughout the theater of afghanistan.  i started out with HALLIBURTON / KBR, then later transitioned to FLUOR CORPORATION.  i have never been a part of the military per se... i have been employed as per the DOD, department of defense.  this is primarily the reason that i am now preparing to head on over to the US EMBASSY IRAQ.  i have a heck of a lot of serious upper management experience dealing in extremely austere environments as per the DOD.

now, you may be able to understand me a bit more, as to why i do not laugh at and denigrate others.  i am a trained realist, that have dealt with some of the most dangerous, shocking, and most extreme measures that is hereby known.  if i can hereby handle situations over there, then trust me, all else is a piece of apple pie.  i absolutely love my country USA... and the UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS.  let no one ever doubt this....

Well, monarch, you can be a goofy so and so, but you have my greatest admiration.

And, while I am at it, be very careful over there - you are in the land of savages.

thank you doc!  however, i have been home as per a few month's now.  this is how i was hereby able to attend the UNT / BYU matchups in austin.  also, let's just put the word out NOW!  this is where i acquired the AS PER... dealing with the DOD department of defense all of these years.  you would never believe the way they utilize the term.  it's really cool!

also, doc, i know that you are hereby sworn to a bit of secrecy per se...  but what is the latest upon our forthcoming facility upgrades?  just a little leak shall suffice.... please!  i have been involved as per a huge discussion upon the OB with the UT management stalwart by the name of NUUFAOLO.  this is his OB nickname.  do you know of him?  he seems to bring forth a very committed detail upon each and every facilities question being brought forth by OB posters.  this gentleman apparently lives in new york, but he has strong to UT's school of business, legal, and others.  he apparently has been somewhat involved as per the ongoing facilities planning along with patterson.  i wish that you were a part of the OB, the you would see just what i am speaking of.  NUUFAOLO, has a huge amount of indept knowledge regarding these new facilities.  what gives.... anything new?

I will never be a member of OB.  Through his own admission, the owner of that blog said he actually created alias and started controversies just to try to jack up interest and memberships.  I consider that blatantly dishonest and a downright scam.  No matter how interesting some of the posters may be I will never knowingly give money to a phony like that.

I was beginning to suspect that IT was doing the same thing when a poster named Burt Reynalds started throwing out a bunch of outlandish posts.  I am watching this closely as well - as I won't be a member or participate in that kind of chicanery.

But, to answer your question on facilities, I haven't heard any more info other than what I have already posted.  I am unaware of the poster you named.  I will say this, although Patterson is somewhat involved in the new facilities, he is really just on the perimeter.  A lot heavier hitters (read $$$) than he are on the ground floor of renovations and expansions.

monarch, thanks for providing a bit of background.  It does help to understand your point of view.  But, and this is a big but, you aren't the only person that cares about UT on this site, and it wouldn't be wise to get into a 'who loves UT more' debate.  There are actually people on here who played and sweat and 'bled' for the program.  I'm not going there.

After giving that a moments thought, reread your post.  What is your biggest concern?

Stay safe over there.  ISIS has put this conflict on an entirely different level.  We need to find a way to deal with those criminals.  Glad they busted the group in Australia.  It would be nice if they never again see the light of day.  How long do you anticipate being out of the country?

Hook 'em!

yes.  you are absolutely correct java.  i could never in a million, gazillion years, think that i was the only person that cares about UT upon this great site.  i have hereby stated more than once, that we have a sizable and yet wonderful amount of football minded stalwarts upon this forum / website.  (you are one of them)  as i have duly stated upon my last post to doc longhorn... i have been home as per few month's now.  this is how i was hereby able to travel to both matchup's against UNT / BYU.  i am now preparing to head on over to the US EMBASSY in iraq, as per a new management position.  i simply cannot wait.  thanks, once again as per the accolades.  HOOK'EM!

Wait a minute. You're going to Iraq and you "simply cannot wait?"

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot

Flirt with danger much? lol

well mark, i guess by now, that i am quite used to it.  besides, i have always wanted to work at a US EMBASSY.  the facility in iraq, is currently the largest embassy in the world.  the one in pakistan, shall be the second largest.  not to mention, look at all of the crazy danger constantly mounting upon HORN SPORTS!  as i duly recall... we are constantly begging people to KEEP CALM!

I urge you to stay low and play it safe. Things could head south in a hurry with so much uncertainty over there.

Funny how such a "tradition rich" football program like aggie feels compelled to wear those gaudy clown costumes.

The 'bling' compression shirt is just precious.  Ghey
