3. The 2013 nightmare as motivation.

4. Daje Johnson still suspended even though the offense desperately needs him today.

5. BYU badly wants to join the league. Today they are trying to make a statement to the Big 12 by beating one of their power teams for the 2nd year in a row.

6. Alpha-Omega: The 2013 game is considered by many to be the beginning of the end of the Mack Brown era. In the 12 months since then, the entire program has undergone a transformation. Here we are at BYU 2014 - this is the program's chance to make a statement about how far it's progressed. If last year was an ending, is this year a beginning?
