Of course.  You get your own opinion, but not set of facts.

And the fact is that the Bulls' offense is the worst offense in the NBA.

No hyperbole, no superlatives.

Statistically, the worst.

And, unlike Philly or Utah or the Fakers, Chicago actually has some talent on the court.

Conclusion?  They have to try pretty hard to be so bad.

The Rox meanwhile were #1 in scoring (including #1 in road scoring at 106.6 ppg)(also were #2 last season, so nothing new)

#1 in 3Ps attempted

#5 in Pace

#1 in Rebound Rate (REBR)

#3 in Effective FG% (EFG%)

#2 in True Shooting% (TS%)

#3 in Offensive Efficiency

#3 in both Blocks and Defensive Rebounds (both of which leads to fast breaks)

and #6 in Point Differential (perhaps the single most impt team stat)(Spurs were #1 not surprisingly)

That Pace is primarily what makes the offense exciting and fun to watch.  Naturally, (most) fans like it and respond accordingly.  Except for the 3P shot, these high-pace offenses are somewhat akin to the free-flowing-style NBA of the late-70s - 80s (that era was known as the Golden Age of Basketball for a reason).  Hopefully, its the future of the league.  If the Bulls' style of play is the future, then pro ball is entering the dark ages again.

Defense 

Rockets: 22nd, 22nd, 19th, 28th, 23rd

Rockets: 8th, 3rd, 9th, 2nd, 2nd

Bulls: 24th, 19th, 18th, 28th, 30th (Rose injured)

You need at least a top 10 defense to win NBA championship.  Of course the Bulls offensive production was abysmal due to Rose's injury the last 2 years.  When Rose was healthy, offensive production improved at least 10 spots.  The LeBron factor is all moot now, but if LeBron did go to Chicago, offensive production would improve rankings to lower top 10 or top 15 at the least.  Added to that, a top 5 defense in the league, WOW!

If LeBron had chosen Rockets, offense still good, but besides LeBron, who else would play defense?  Maybe defensive ranking improves to 15th in the league?

East contenders always fear the Bulls because they give them bad match-ups.  Vegas loves the Bulls over Rockets too to win NBA championship. 



You love your Rockets, I love my Bulls.  We'll see who wins another championship first. But at the end of the day, you need a top 10 defense and top 15 offense.

Cleveland needs another shooting guard. If they trade for Love I think Thompson or Varejao are on their way out. Irving, Lebron, Love, and Varejao/Thompson is pretty damn good. They need another piece with that at shooting guard IMO. I guess it could be Wiggins but I would think he would be gone in a Love trade.
