  1. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1252019075/the-faces-of-longhorn-nation-mural-at-dkr-stadium Longhorn Nation, Ever wanted to suit up in a Texas Football uniform and catch a pass with Vince Young? Ever wanted to run out on the field at DKR Stadium with Bevo in front of 100,000 screaming fans? Your time as come!! I'm currently working with an artist who is creating a series of 25 murals at stadiums and venues across the country (Texas, UCLA, Notre Dame, USC, ASU, BNP Open) and he partnered up with The University of Texas Athletics Department to create a mural at The University of Texas to honor the fans. He just finished the approved pencil layout drawing for “The Faces of Longhorn Nation†tribute mural that will be located in DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium's main concourse. Mike launched a Kickstarter campaign yesterday, September 1, 2015, inviting Texas Longhorn fans and supporters to help fund, build, and create the Mural. The 30-day campaign plans to raise $75,000 to help pay for materials, tools, and supplies to create the art preparation, manufacturing and treatment of the mural tiles, manufacturing of the mural frame, and installation of the mural plaque and lighting at Darrel K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. “Longhorn fans are unlike any fans I’ve seen in college football; they’re passionate and electric,†states Artist Mike Sullivan. “I was fortunate enough to be at the Rose Bowl the day Texas won the National Championship and saw the Longhorn Nation loyalty and energy first hand. I look forward to creating the first ever Fan Tribute Mural at this Legendry Stadium and University.†Campaign backers can pledge a range of donations from $10—$10,000. Several exclusive rewards are available for backing the campaign, including: Personal voicemail message recorded by any Longhorn Head Coach of your choice A round of golf with Texas Men’s Golf Coach John Fields Private baseball lessons with Texas Baseball Coach Augie Garrido Carrying the UT flag on the field during a home football game at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium Signed artwork and memorabilia from Vince Young, Coach Mack Brown, Mike Sullivan, and other renowned members of the Longhorn community. You can review all of the rewards and pledge levels at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1252019075/the-faces-of-longhorn-nation-mural-at-dkr-stadium The mural will be unveiled on November 7, 2015 at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, prior to kick-off against the Kansas Jayhawks by a Legendary Longhorn. 2. This week's Horns Up discusses the retirement of Vince Young. What do you think?
  3. Our boy is back in action in Green Bay. He showed a little of the old Vince, making Longhorn and Packer fans slobber alike... Hook'Em.
  4. Inspired by walking past Vince Young as I walked into the stadium today, I've decided to take this question to the public jury. VY will be working out at Texas' Pro Day in an attempt to enter back into the NFL and I want to know what you think the odds are that he will land with a team. And where do you think he will end up. I personally say there's an 80% chance he makes it to a camp with a team. Teams like Oakland or Arizona could be in the mix to take a chance on VY. What are your thoughts?
