  1. Photo: @NCAACWS After defeating Fairfield 12-2 on Sunday night to win the Austin Regional, the Longhorns are set to host the South Florida Bulls in a Super Regional. The schedule has been set for an opening game on Saturday, June 12th at 8:00 PM. The two teams will meet again on Sunday at 8:00 PM and again on Monday, if necessary to decide a winner. The Longhorns won all three games played in the Regional at Disch Falk Field, defeating Southern, Arizona State and Fairfield by a combined score of 33-5. South Florida is on a hot streak after winning the AAC Championship to advance to the Gainesville Regional, where they defeated Florida, Miami and South Alabama to advance to the Super Regional against Texas. The Longhorns advance to their 11th Super Regional in school history and boast a 15-6 all-time record in Super Regional play. Austin Super Regional Schedule Saturday, June 12, 2021: Game 1 @ 8:00pm (ESPNU) Sunday, June 13, 2021: Game 2 @ 8:00pm (ESPN2/ESPNU) Monday, June 14, 2021: Game 3 @ 3:00pm or 6:00pm (ESPN2/ESPNU) *if necessary
  2. Per d1baseball.com, the NCAA announced the 20 potential sites this morning. Of the 20, 16 will be ultimately chosen. Potential Regional Hosts Arizona (Tucson) Arkansas (Fayetteville) Charlotte (Gastonia*) East Carolina (Greenville) Florida (Gainesville) Gonzaga (Spokane) Louisiana Tech (Ruston) Mississippi State (Starkville) Notre Dame (South Bend) Ole Miss (Oxford) Oregon (Eugene) Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh) South Carolina (Columbia) Southern Miss (Hattiesburg) Stanford (Stanford) Tennessee (Knoxville) Texas (Austin) Texas Tech (Lubbock) TCU (Fort Worth) Vanderbilt (Nashville) Great recap here: D1 Baseball Regional Host Breakdown As you can see, Texas is listed, and is almost guaranteed to be a host site. I believe the NCAA has said that capacity will be limited to 50% for the Regionals, Super Regionals and CWS. That could obviously change over the next couple of weeks, but I'm not certain that it will.
