  1. First day of early signing was today and Jake Raulerson and JUCO commit Geoff Swaim both signed just around an hour ago. Raulerson and Swaim will enroll learly and start at UT in January. Hook'em Horns!
  2. Longhorn Nation has panicked a bit with Kyle Hicks and now Durham Smythe decommitting but the truth is all is well. Hicks was injured quite a bit and Smythe is, wel... a tight end. A good tight end but replaceable - especially in this offensive system. I immediately thought Texas would think about replacing him with another tight end in the class - and they still might, but I am not so sure. JUCO TE and Texas commit Geoff Swaim was elevated today to 4-star status which is good news. Look at the crux of this class - Raulerson, Swoopes, Warrick.... These are game changers that will help Texas for many many years. Raulerson has been connecting the dots and making sure everyone stays committed to the Longhorns. Love that kid. I checked in with Trent Gow and asked him if he was still firm to Air Force and he said yes. He is happy about his commitment and he will be a fantastic TE for the Falcons.... I also checked in with Jacorey Warrick just to see how he was doing with the Harsin departure and he said he wishes coach the best at Arkansas State but he is still a firm Texas commit. Raulerson reached out to Swoopes to make suyre he was still on-board and Swoopes said yes. The point is the class is strong and may get even stronger. FUnny thing is this stuff happens all the time at other schools and now that a few decommits happen at TExas, everyone panicks. All is cool on the 40 Acres and NSD will be another success for Mack. HOOK'EM!
