1. Greg Robinson, 2004 co-defensive coordinator for the Longhorns, is back in Austin for the upcoming season and possibly beyond. Robinson returns to Austin as a football analyst in the Player Personnel Department. Robinson's quote: Welcome back to the 40, coach. In case you need a refresher on where Coach Robinson went when he left UT in 2004:

[TH=bgcolor: lightgray, colspan: 2, align: center]Coaching career (HC unless noted)[/TH]

[TH=align: left]1975–1976 1977–1979 1980–1981 1982–1988 1989 1990-1993 1994 1995-2000 2001–2003 2004 2005–2008 2009–2010[/TH] Pacific (Assistant coach) Cal State Fullerton (Assistant) NC State (Assistant) UCLA (DL) UCLA (OC) New York Jets (DL) New York Jets (DC) Denver Broncos (DC) Kansas City Chiefs (DC) Texas (DC) Syracuse (Head coach) Michigan (DC)

2. In case you haven't heard yet Manny Diaz is looking hard to find another defensive coordinator position. He contacted Florida State about their opening but coach Jimbo Fisher is interested in Alabama defensive backs coach Jeremy Pruitt. Diaz could land a DC position at another FBS school but this season at Texas did him no favors. FIU is still a possibility for Manny, which if they were to offer - my advice would be for him to take it.... QUICK.
